It's been a month and Olivia hasn't woken up yet. Logan did several tests to try and help her but she was only getting worse.

Virgil never left her side blaming himself no matter what Roman said. Roman tried to cheer him up and give him some hope but it never really worked.

Janus was with Patton happy that he was away from the sharks. Patton enjoyed the quiet but it was just way too quiet. He knew Virgil would want to stay with his sister but Roman wouldn't hang out with them anymore. At least he had Janus to keep him company.

Logan came by to see Virgil and Roman with the test results, "Virgil, I know this is gonna be a lot to take in but... Olivia might not make it... I'm sorry... I'm doing everything I can to save her, but there are limits that everyone has..."

Virgil covered his mouth tearing up and quickly buried his face into Roman's chest.

Roman looked at Virgil and rubbed his back, "Hey, she's not gone yet. There's still hope she might turn around."

Virgil shook his head, "If I didn't leave her behind this would never have happened! I'm such a terrible brother!"

Roman ran his fingers through his hair, "That's not true Virgil."

Logan ran his fingers through Virgil's hair, "Trust me Virgil, it's hard for everyone right now. This isn't my first failure on life. I'm doing everything that I can."

Virgil moved them both away and just swam back to his own pod closing the doors tightly shut.

Roman watched him leave then looked down, "I wish there was something I can do to settle his aching heart."

Logan put a hand on Roman's shoulder, "You did your best Roman. It's okay. Get some rest, I heard from Thomas it was a lovely day outside. Maybe go take everyone out into the lagoon?"

Roman shrugged, "Worth a try to lighten things up. I'll ask Virgil if he'd like to join but I have a feeling he's gonna want to be alone."

Logan nodded, "We'll keep an eye on Olivia. Go enjoy the afternoon."

Roman nodded and swam off to the main pod where Patton and Janus were, "Hey you two."

Patton looked at Roman and rushed over putting their heads together, "Roman! I missed you kiddo!"

Roman put his head against his, "I missed you too Patton." He looked over to Janus, "How are you two doing?"

Janus nodded swimming over, "Quite alright. How's Olivia?"

Roman looked down a bit, "She might not make it... her injuries are too great..."

Patton covered his own mouth, "My gosh, that poor child. Virgil must be heart broken."

Roman nodded, "He's in his pod, I don't think he wants to be bothered right now. Anyway, I heard from Logan that it's a lovely day outside. He suggested going out to the lagoon could lighten the mood. Would you like to come?"

Patton nodded, "I'm in, Janus?"

Janus nodded, "I /don't/ agree. It totally doesn't sound like fun." He spoke sarcastically.

Roman smiled, "Alright, I'm gonna see if Virgil would like to join." He swan off to Virgil's pod and knocked on the door, "Virgil? May I come in?"

There was no sound coming from him.

Roman knocked again, "Virgil? Please let me in."

Virgil couldn't help but let out a weak cry, "Go away... I don't want to see anyone..."

Roman listened to his voice and looked down, "I know things are rough right now, but maybe some fresh water and sun will cheer you up in the lagoon? Me, Patton, and Janus will be going out. I thought you'd like a-"

"I SAID GO AWAY!!" Virgil screamed at him through the door as Roman swam back a bit.

Roman looked down and swam away. He was growing a headache from all of this negativity. He hated every bit of this.

While Roman watched Janus and Patton play tag in the water, he was creating flower crowns for all of them. That was until the alarm went off in the hospital. Patton whimpered covering his ears and Janus quickly went over to pull him into a reassuring hug.

Roman didn't have a good feeling so he rushed back inside and found Virgil's fast tail move into a hallway. He followed to find him watching Thomas and Logan working on Olivia.

Virgil saw Logan giving Olivia cpr but nothing was working. He quickly covered his mouth when he saw Thomas put a hand on Logan's hands, "Logan... Stop..."

Logan looked at Thomas then down to let her go, "Time of passing... 14:36..."

Virgil immediately broke down and swam over to hug her, "No!! You can't leave me!! You can't!!"

Roman went over with tears hating Virgil's cries. He put a hand on his shoulder, "It's okay Virgil... She's in a better place now..."

Virgil shoved his touch away as he continued to sob.

The alarm was turned off and Patton came in along with Janus to see Virgil sobbing. Patton whimpered and rushed to hug Janus tightly. Janus looked at Patton and held him close, "Sshhh, it's /not/ okay. Let's get you to the commons okay?" Patton nodded following him out.

Later that night, Virgil was holding Olivia's necklace as well a his as he cried more. Roman heard from Logan Virgil hasn't eaten in a while so he came in with since fish, "Virgil?"

Virgil just looked down at the sand at the bottom of the pool as more tears came down.

Roman carefully went over and set the fish down to take his hand gently only for him to take it away. He sighed looking at him, "Virgil... I know this is hard. I won't push you but you really should be eating."

Virgil didn't answer or even show he was listening as he continued to look down.

Roman gently wiped his tears off his cheeks and moved back, "There's the fish of you ever want to eat. Please do so." He swam out of his room and leaned against the door wanting to do something to make him feel better.

He heard some soft splashes and looked up to see Logan at the surface of the hallway. He swam up to gently headbutt him, "Hello Logan."

Logan nodded letting him do so, "Is he not eating?"

Roman shook his head looking down, "I don't know how to help Logan..."

Logan looked at him, "Remember when you came back from your long search for Remus?"

Roman looked at him, "I try not to think about my failures thank you very much."

Logan nodded, "Well, when you were so upset you didn't find him and figured he was dead right. We made a little scavenger hunt for you."

Roman nodded, "Yeah, the clues had some nice compliments and at the end the final prize was seeing you all together."

Logan nodded, "And that is when we decided that we were a family. Maybe we should do the same for Virgil. Give him some time to absorb the information. And we can figure out a small game for him to make him feel better."

Roman smiled and nodded, "You're right Logan, just need to be patient for him. While I do that in gonna think of the game."

Logan smiled, "You got this Roman. Make sure it's not too crazy alright?"

Roman nodded, "Yes sir!" He saluted him and swan off to the commons, "Patton! Janus! We need to talk!"

Patton jumped a bit from the loud noise that came from him but settled down with Janus's hugs.
