I fluttered my eyes open after seconds of waiting. The three of us gazed at each other with a questioning look and disappoinment.

"See? Nothing

Daniel's words were cut off as the whole place started to shake a little, it was like vibrating everso slightly coming from the wall. Suddenly, the portrait sank back to the wall like it was engulfed within it and was replaced by a rectangular glass case. It opened by itself and inside it  was a rolled paper or something and beside it was what I recognized from the portrait, was Cross' parents' necklace.

"Holy shit" Daniel exclaims unbelievably. Cross was the one who had the guts to take the, what I figured was a map and the two necklaces. He held it on his hands with shocked eyes.

This was where I knew that our journey was just beginning. There was no treasure here, it was the map and the two necklace that might be the answers to where it is.

"Oh wow you found it for us"

I whipped around and backed away a little when I saw the  room was now filled with armed goons that was being lead by this guy who was wearing a thick coat and was blowing some smoke off a cigarette. I motioned Daniel and Cross to back away a little and they did as they cautiously looked at our ooponents.

The guy who said those line had this typical villain look. I almost rolled my eyes.

What?

He even got a cliché scar slashed on his right eye. He stood there proudly looking at us with a smirk etched on his face. He must've thought we were easy targets. He thought wrong.

"In your sweet dreams" I spat looking directly at him. The guy glared at me. I noticed that they were all Japanese looking. So this is the Kayasa Gang huh? I can't say that they look unintimidating with their muscular bodies and they looked well-trained as they carry their  own weapons by the hand.  I estimated there were ten or more than ten thugs here with us.

He blew out another smoke and looked at me dangerously like he was thinking of how many ways he could kill me in hid head, but I didn't flinch an inch.

"I'm making a preposition, darling. Hand it over now and no blood shall shed" He cockily says in a deep Japanese accent. .

I glanced at my bag who was on the table, a meter away from us. I then looked back at him with a sweet smile.

"Okay" I sighed and straightened up. Daniel and Cross looked at me aghastly and baffled at my actions.

"Misaki, what's the meaning of this? " Cross demanded through gritted teeth.

"Wait, who is Misaki?" Daniel chimes in more shocked than he was seconds ago.

"Come on Cross, don't be stupid. Look at them, they've outnumbered us. Let's be wise here" I explained as I slowly approached the table  where my bag was placed.

"Right?" I turned to the guy in front of us and he grinned widely.

"I give it to you woman. You're wise" He compliments me as they all laughed and relaxed a little.

"Just trust me" I muttered under my breath but just enough for them to hear. I hope they did.

"Okay Cross, give it to him" I order Cross.  He looked at me hesitantly for a second before walking slowly towards the man. The table was the only thing separating us from them. They seemed to relax a little and put their weapons down. I scanned what they've brought. Guns and knives. Typical and too easy.
