Presence

I slept better than usual. I don't know if I was just really tired or because I was finally able to accept the way things end.

I didn't want to believe the latter. But judging how I can sleep without missing his warmth badly, made me somehow... bothered.

I was just asking how to move on... at ngayong nararamdaman kong parang hindi ko na siya hinahanap... naguguluhan ako.

What the hell?

Baka kasi... nasanay naman akong hindi siya nagpaparamdam sa akin kahit noong kami pa.

Right. That was it. I was so used to him not checking up on me, so this is all fine.

Naligo muna ako bago bumaba para magbreakfast. The view in my room was beautiful but I wanted to eat in front of the bay. Mayroon akong nakikitang mga nagtatampisaw sa pang-umagang sikat ng araw.

I checked for my things and frowned when I saw no extra clothes if ever maliligo ako sa dagat. Isa na lamang ang pamalit ko. Plano ko ring magpunta roon sa mga pagawaan ng palayok at siguradong madudumihan ang damit ko.

Unlike yesterday, mas maraming tao ngayon. Papa called and reminded me that the driver will fetch me after lunch time.

Pagpunta ko roon sa pagawaan ng palayok ay may mga tao na ring naroon. There were two additional girls. Kagaya ko ay gumagawa rin ng palayok pero kitang-kita na magaling sila.

Madali kong natapos ang ginawa kong palayok. I think I got the hang of it. Although it wasn't that smooth, it was still beautiful. Babayaran ko dapat pero sinabing ayos lang kung hindi dahil ako naman ang gumawa.

I wrote my name on its base. Hinintay kong matuyo bago kinulayan ang ibang parte.

Somehow, it was therapeutic. Ito na lang siguro ang bago kong pagkakaabalahan. Thinking of doing martial arts or whatever that involved my physical strenght suddenly made me tired.

"I'll just have your... bestseller," ani ko sa server. I will be eating my lunch already. Ayoko pa sana pero tumawag si Kuya Lukas at sinabing hihintayin niya na lang ako sa pinapagawang clinic.

The restaurant somehow reminded me of the resort where we met. Noong kumakain kami ni Cara at nakita niya si Heath sa unang pagkakataon. Kung kailan una kong nakita si Hedeon.

That was almost two years ago... ang bilis ng panahon pero ang bagal ng usad ng mundo ko.

I was so lost in my thoughts that even the sun's rays were not hurting my eyes. Nakatitig lang ako sa mga alon. I squinted my eyes when I looked back around the resto I was in.

Others preferred to sit outside pero pinili ko na lang na rito sa loob dahil wala namang two-seater table sa labas. I'm fine eating alone at a four-seater table but I'd rather give that space for people na talagang may kasama.

It was summer. Kaya rin siguro dumadami na ang turista.

Inilapag ng isang server ang dalawang buko sa table ko.

"Uhm... I didn't order that. Baka mali ka lang nang napaglagyan," kunot-noo kong tugon.

He checked for my table number at ang papel na nasa tray. "For table one po ang nakalagay dito, Ma'am."

"But... I'm sure I didn't order that."

"Ganoon po ba," he looked apologetic. Kinuha niya ang dalawang buko at muling nagpaalam.
