I looked at Ruslan. "Where's Era?"

We were waiting for almost ten minutes. If this report was doable for an hour, I would volunteer. But I have to get their opinion. We need to pass it to the dean.

"With Matthias. She told me she'll run late."

That's why I hate getting into relationships. It'll consume my time and waste my energy.

Dumating ang isa pa naming ka-grupo. "Let's start it without her."

I was already annoyed. Can't she set her priorities straight?

"Two minutes daw," Ani Ruslan.

I opened my laptop ang decided to start it. Sasha, one of our groupmates, immediately went near me.

"Hedeon, anong maitutulong ko?"

I snickered. I don't want to be called Hedeon. I find it old. I prefer Thirdy.

My friends call me Hedeon to mock me. Only my family calls me that.

"It's Thirdy," I corrected her. Her lips parted pero ngumiti rin. "Here," inabot ko sa kanya ang references na kailangang isama. "Paraphrase."

"A-Ah, sige..."

"Rus," pagtawag ko ng pansin sa nagce-cellphone na barkada ko. He turned to me and opened his laptop. Nagsimula na rin siya pero baling-baling sa loob ng cafeteria na parang may hinahanap.

"Sorry! Sorry!" Era placed her bag on the table. Tinignan niya ako. "Sorry!" Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin.

"Nasaan boyfriend mo?" Ruslan asked.

"Ah! Kasama kapatid niya. Sinamahan kasi namin. Exam ngayon ng incoming freshman..."

"He has a sister?" Ruslan curiously asked.

"Yeah! Pretty girl. Erel." She scanned the cafeteria. "Pupunta siya rito mamaya."

The name got me stunned for a moment. But I remembered we have to pass this today.

We were at the cafeteria. Mahigit tatlumpong minuto na kami rito noong tumayo si Era para bumili ng pagkain.

The time she returned, may hila-hila na siyang babae.

"Ate! Nakakahiya. I'll wait for kuya sa car na lang." A girly voice echoed in my ear. Tinignan ko kung saan nagmula.

Beside Era was a short high school girl. Long dark brown hair that's not too straight. It was even highlighted 'cause she's fair. Mapayat at parang hindi pinapakain.

Her sharp feline brown eyes turned to me.

Parang bigla kong nakalimutan ang kailangang ipasa mamaya. It felt like looking at her is much more important than this stupid report!

Bumaba ang tingin ko sa labi niya. Her cute full lips felt luscious to taste.

She was wearing a crisp white shirt tucked in her denim pants. Bumaba ang tingin ko at nakitang nakaboots pa ito.

"No. Stay here. Mga ka-org ko lang naman ang nandito," Era got a sit for the girl.

Maliit na boses ang sumagot. "Thank you, Ate."

"Ah! Right! Sorry," tumawa si Era at ipinakilala ang babae bago pa ito makaupo.

"Guys, this is Erel. Kapatid ni Matthias."

Her thin fingers waved in the air. Saglit na tumingin muli sa akin at nagtama ang mga mata namin. She was trying so hard not to act nervous. Pero kitang-kita naman sa mata.
