"THAT GIRL IS A REAL CROWD PLEASER..."

Sabrina had told me that Lady Blackwood might have had something to do with the Feast of Feasts. I thought it was barbaric, until Lady Blackwood mentioning that her children come first.

Me, Zelda and Sabrina were in the kitchen discussing what I was told. "What did Lady Blackwood mean by "her children" come first?" Sabrina asked.

"I wonder if Constance might think Father Blackwood has other children. He wouldn't be the first High Priest to have dropped the odd bastard child here and there." Zelda said. "But how would those other children be a threat to Lady Blackwood's twins?" I asked with confusion.

"Children born of a High Priest whether they're legitimate or not, can lay claim to that title." Zelda said. "So if Father Blackwood had other children out in the world..." Sabrina trailed off.

"They could all make a play for the seat." Zelda finishes. Oh, this is real bad. I looked at Sabrina, we had to go to the Academy and tell Prudence like now.

We quickly went to the academy and spotted Prudence getting fitted into a beautiful coral blue and gold dress. Dorcus and Agatha were pinning the fabric. I breathed out in relief. "Prudence, I need to talk to you." I said. I see Prudence smirk.

"If your asking for a sex favor you'll have to wait till after I get finished with my fitting. You can wait, can you?" She asked. I rolled my eyes. "It was premature of me to accuse Father Blackwood of having an agenda when he chose you as queen." Sabrina said.

Prudence hummed with a grin. "Finally. You've come—." Sabrina cut her off. "Instead, I think it might be Lady Blackwood who wants you dead." She said.

"What a blasphemous creature you are." Prudence comments. "You said Father Blackwood treats you like a daughter. Is it possible you actually are his daughter?" I said which caused Prudence's eyes to furrow.

"Because if you were, Lady Blackwood would see you as a threat." I said. "Have the two of you completely lost your mind?" Prudence asked.

"Maybe. But why does Father Blackwood take care of you?" I asked. "Because he's charitable." Prudence said.

"If you were Father Blackwood's daughter, you could one day lay claim to the Church of Night, this school, everything, but you'd have to get rid of his legitimate heirs first." Sabrina said. "Stop this, please, stop this." Prudence said with a broken voice.

"If Blackwood had it out for you, wouldn't it be convenient for her if you were sacrificed at the Feast of Feast?" I asked next. "For the last time... it is the Dark Lord's will that I am to be queen." Prudence hissed.

"What if it's the will of a witch? Of a pregnant witch with a grudge against you and your sisters? We just left her at the house. She was ranting about hoy you're plotting against her, and how she needed to hurt you before you could hurt her." I spoke.

"Do you even have a shred of proof? Besides Lady Blackwood's hysterical ramblings?" Prudence asked with a nose turned up. Sabrina shrugged her shoulders. "No... just a hunch." She said. Prudence tilted her head.

"But Lady Blackwood was holding the lottery box. Please, Prudence, I know you have complete faith that this is all the Dark Lord's will, and everything is going according to his plan... but if there's even a shadow of doubt in your mind, don't you want to know the truth? She'd be murdering you in front of the entire coven." I told her. Prudence sighs. "If I were to... entertain this fantasy of yours... how do you suggest we proceed, handmaiden?" She asked me.

I thought for a moment. "Every Queen of the Feast deserves a last supper, right?" I said.
