"YOU ARE OUT OF MY LEAGUE..."

I went into Baxter High and retrieved the book and the entire group began walking to the clearing in the woods. Prudence tied up Agatha and she gagged her. We finally made it and I breathed out in relief. We created a pentagram with salt a gingerly put candles around us. In the middle of pentagram was some old mining clothes Tommy had something wear when he came back.

We all stood around the circle. "I can't believe you're doing this to Agatha. She's our sister." Dorcus sobs. "Leave, if you want, but if you stay, Dorcas, shut your mouth, or we'll sacrifice you, too." Prudence hissed. Gavin looked at me.

"As a student of necromancy, I strongly advise that you recite the text word for word. The slightly deviation and we could all wind up dead." Gavin spoke. I nodded my head. I breathed in.

"There are three stages to the Rite of Resurrection. First... we invoke the hounds." I spoke to the skies. "Hounds of Heaven, Hounds of Hell, Hounds of Earth, Guardians of the Door, we summon thee to help resurrect the fallen son before me." I spoke clearly.

We all begin to chant the spell. The winds of the forest begin to slightly pick up speed. We suddenly hear barking and growling in the distance. My eyes widened. Unholy shit, it worked.

I looked up into the sky. "The second stage, we must open the door between worlds. We now bow before the Door that divides the World of the Living from the World of the Dead. With humble gratitude we ask that it be opened. " I said before we all began chanting another spell.

The wind picks up even more speed causing my brown hair to fly into my face. Suddenly the candles we had surrounded around us all started to burn brighter. Inbreathed in slowly, trying to relax. Suddenly, we heard a door open, well, it was more gate sounding to me.

I sighed. "The third and final stage, the Sacrifice." I said. Prudence looked at me with a smirk before standing in front of me with a hunter knife in her hand. "Would you like to do the honors?" She asked. I grabbed the knife out of her hand.

"With pleasure." I said, giving her the Book of the Dead. I walked up behind Agatha who whimpered in fear. I grabbed the girl and push her onto her knees.

"Unholiest of Spirits, I offer thee a life for a life! O mighty Dark Lord, by whom all is set afire, thy power be thy path, thy will my desire. Vita est Vita." I finished. I suddenly felt a power I had never felt, it was intoxicating.

I embrace this new found power and slice the woman's throat in one fell swoop. Blood sprays all over the ground like paint. The witch fell onto the ground, dead. I didn't feel any remorse after what I didn't feel anything.

I breathed out. "The Hounds invoked. The Door opened. The price paid in blood. Thomas Kinkle, we entreat thee." We say in unison. The wind blew around us wildly.

"RISE... RISE... RISE...!" We all screamed. Prudence looked at me once nothing happened. "What now?" She asked.

"We wait. Thirteen minutes. Time enough for all traces of the witch's soul to leave the body." I spoke. "And then?" Dorcus asked.

"We bury her." I said.

-

We went to the graveyard at my house and quickly buried Agatha. I watched as Prudence and Dorcus piled dirt upon her body. I crossed my arms. "Mary Rose!" I suddenly heard Ambrose yell.

My eyes widened before I turned my head to see Ambrose looking at me with a pissed expression. I grimaced. "Oh no." I mumbled to myself.

Ambrose pulled me to the porch to lecture me. I stood in front of him with a monotone expression. "Necromancy, Mary Rose? This is the stupidest, the most irresponsible thing you have ever done. Didn't I tell you not to do it? W-what would give you the idea to something like this in the first place? The Monkey's Paw, for Lucifer's sake?" Ambrose spat.
