"Once again!"
The voice echoed throughout the room. The face of the owner of the voice looked very serious.
"That's crazy. Yui-senpai has been swimming many times, non-stop. Do you think it's okay, Haru?" Asahi whispers to her best friend who doesn't take her eyes off the pool.
"I do not know." Haru replied shortly. His eyes followed the movements of Yui, who was honing her swimming skills, who knows how many times. "But if it makes Yui-san happy I guess it's okay. She's a professional swimmer after all." He added as he got up from his seat, then stretched his body for a moment.
"When does our competition start?" His friend who had bright red hair looked up, remembering when their big match had started.
"I think it's next week."
"Huh? Really?"
Haru looked at Asahi. "What's wrong?"
"Umm." He seemed hesitant to answer. "That means it's on the same date as the Black Jackals' match. You know our competition venue is close to the building that will be used by Black Jackals during their match?" Asahi answered, trying to act as calm as possible. "I talked about Yui-senpai. Our competition is on the day after Miya-san's wedding date."
Haru widened his eyes at Asahi's explanation before turning his gaze to Yui again. Is everything going to be all right? But the girl in front of him seemed to have no other burden other than her goal to keep practicing and be the champion in the competition later.
"Take it easy Asahi, I know Yui-san must already know about everything. Although I don't know what she will do next."
The important thing about the way his life fell apart was that he hadn't even noticed that she'd never won't be his. The worst part was, it was true. He indeed love Yui, loved that girl who had literally changed his life forever. With all his might. It's clearly not a mistake. It was his choice and he chose it readily. He just do not want people coddle him like he's some toddler who got into a mess. He wanted this, and he will accept the fallout.
But now he is here. Seeing her struggling as hard as she did back then. And it's not an easy thing to pretend not to have noticed her presence. The storng scent of chlorine surrounded them like the glittering bits of dust in. They danced between them, like grains of sand fluttering through an hourglass: counting down all of the years of being together with her. And he has never regretted loving her and fighting with her from day one they joined the same club, even now.
'Yui-san definitely wants to win this competition'
Haru thought, putting on his goggles, bracing himself before jumping into the pool. Swim as fast as the girl he loves. He still loves her, but in the end, he couldn't say it. It's just like being pulled by the current when he was floating around the ocean. Living by imagining that he will spend his whole life without her, feels like he's getting tired, but he doesn't see paradise. He needs her warmth to tell him that he's alright. He wants her so bad but he realized that his position could only be like this. Stay beside her, accompany her, support her with all his heart and be her best friend.
Just like two parallel lines that are always side by side but can never meet at one point.

"What do you want to talk about?" The golden haired man looked at one person who had a face similar to him and another man with curly hair with a mask covering half his face.
The two people before him snorted.
"Why are you so unfriendly anyway?" The man with the same face sounded a protest.
Atsumu groaned at Osamu's words. His face looked grim, covering his face with his arms.
"Yui is back into swimming."
Osamu raised an eyebrow. "Then?"
The twin snorted. "Can't you understand, 'Samu?"
"What?"
"That means she's going to run into the swim freak a lot."
Kiyoomi snorted. "See for yourself, volleyball freak."
Atsumu glared then realized what Kiyoomi had said was true. He slipped. Put his head on the table in the living room of his apartment.
"But I was so happy when she said she was going to join the competition again. I remember the first time I saw her in our school swimming pool." He laughed bitterly. "What should I do if I have to marry that crazy witch, Kyouko?" His eyes wandered into whatever angle his eyes caught. "Even if there was no space between us, I would still try to pull her closer."
"Who?"
"Yui." He answered, "I love her." He stopped, "So much." These days, he has been feeling as though he is drowning himself in ocean waters. Everything felt heavy and suffocating.
"What if we say we have a solution for you?" Kiyoomi cleared his throat.
Atsumu looked at his teammate with a questioning look. Kiyoomi took out his cell phone, pressed a few buttons on the screen before a familiar voice appeared.
'She is the daughter you took to replace my real sister who died long time ago!'
"What?" Atsumu murmured. "Who?" His eyes were wide open to the two people in front of him. He held himself up by his hands attempting to catch the breath that had just been slammed out of his lungs by the recording. "Kyouko?"
Osamu and Kiyoomi nodded. Atsumu almost threw Kiyoomi's cellphone because he was furious.
"So that damn girl is acting as if she really is a descendant of the Katsuki family? Whoaaah!" He ruffled his hair in frustration. His mind wandered everywhere looking for a way to bring down Kyouko with this fact.
"Do not rush."
Atsumu looked up.
"I know you must be looking for a way to take that girl down. But I beg you not to rush. You know she can do everything to get you? I'm just worried that she will harm Amaya-san if she finds out that you know this secret." Kiyoomi trailed his words. "You know Amaya-san is trying to get back into competition again. I just can't imagine what evil thing that demon could do to her."
The golden haired man clenched his fists tightly. He was about to spit in her face as soon as he meets her tomorrow, but he realizes it wasn't a wise decision after hearing Kiyoomi's explanation. Yes, he had to endure it to protect Yui. He had to do this after what she did to protect him. Because it's clearly he couldn't live like waking up from the dream that's like reality, swallowing up another day that's like a nightmare when he can't spent his time with her.
Indeed he has thousands of defects, but he could swear that no one can ever love her as he love her, and that little virtue makes the love he feels for her more than eternal. To live and to endure everything as long as they're together, it'll be happier as they'll be endlessly connected. Yeah. It should be that way because he just can't live without her.
The clouds shifted from a bright bluish color to steely gray with a flash of lightning and a crack of thunder. Atsumu grimaced, holding back all the anger that had accumulated in his chest as he grit his teeth furiously.
"So, do you have plan?"

Note:
Hello guys! I am so thrilled to imagine that this book is reaching the end soon! *I actually changed the NCT's song title for this chapter . It's actually "Without You" but I changed it a bit since I tried to describe about living without Yui from Atsumu and Haru's perception.
I wish you enjoy this story as much as I enjoy to write it. Don't forget to cote and comment since I love to read it. So, see you next chapter?
Hug and kisses~
