And that's when her mind drifted back to the time she met Atsumu at the Black Jackals's match. The meeting that happened because Hitoka and Hinata Shoyo trapped them —Atsumu and her to meet at the grey door of gymnasium for sure.
Yui was panting heavily because she was running towards the building where the Black Jackals having their match. The bus she was riding on was forced to stop due to a strike and she didn't have time to wait for it to move again. She wanted to get there while the Black Jackal was still playing.
Since their opponent is quite strong today, she was sure that as the game progresses, Atsumu will show off his aggressive play making and bring his cool demeanor into the court which always manages to make his opponent feel intimidated.
Well, not only his opponent, she felt it too.
That girl admitted if Atsumu is total shit when he's on the court. He could bait his opponents into a foul by pretending to do a dump shot before switching to set up for a toss. But she also cannot ignore that Osamu has noted that his twin brother's mental age drops by five years whenever he's in the middle of a game. That is absolute truth which makes his personality looks extremely manipulative.
But isn't that what makes him look so cool?
There are many things that could make her throw a lot of compliments for that whining man. Or if she wants, she could make hundreds pages essay with all the things attached to Atsumu. It's as simple as it would be too many commas to mention the good things in him.
Whenever she was tired of everything that happened to her, she would secretly watch Atsumu's practice to get some spirit. That really helps her to face all the shits in her life.
That girl stopped her steps for a moment, took a deep breath and adjusted the bag on her shoulder. She glanced at her watch, the game would be over soon if they were only going to play in two sets. It felt like she wanted to curse the excessively hot weather which consumed half of her energy. She immediately took off her club jacket and thrust it into her bag. Leaving the white tank top and training pants she wore. Her hands deftly tied her hair into a ponytail before she ran again towards the gymnasium.
This time she really shouldn't miss the moment!

She could hear the boisterous audience as she reached the gates of the gymnasium. Her breath was panting and it felt like she was about to die. Her hands gripped over her knees tightly as she struggled to catch her breath. She lifted her face and her eyes automatically fixed on the 18x9 meter court which shown on the big television mounted on the front door as a golden-haired figure walked slowly to the sidelines, preparing to serve. His hand swings upwards before throwing a fist, a sign he usually makes before serving. At that moment she was also getting ready to chant the spells she used to do on every Black Jackals' match.
"Miya Atsumu is the best setter.. Miya Atsumu is the best setter.." She whispered. Closing her eyes tightly until a loud of BAM! filled in her ears. A sign that Atsumu's service cannot be receive by the opponent and gives additional points to Black Jackals.
She opened her eyes again as the audience shouted full of joy to show the victory achieved by Black Jackals. That jet-haired girl suddenly burst into the gymnasium while trying to keep her jelly-like legs running, looking for a place where the Black Jackals' players celebrate their victory. Her dark eyes caught a group of players in black costumes with golden claw patterns gathered at the side of the court while waving their hands towards the supporters. She immediately got closer to the railing of the spectator seats and opened her mouth wide.
"MIYA ATSUMU!!!!"
Her loud voice filled every corner of the gymnasium, causing several supporters to stop their cheers and look at her. The setter, who felt his name was called, looked up at a figure with a big smile on her face. With all the remaining strength she had, she threw the object that had been in her hand all along. Atsumu, who was standing directly below it caught the object with alacrity.
"That's my gold medal for you, just as I promised you this morning." The girl said loudly. Making the supporters around her stared. "MIYA ATSUMU, WILL YOU MARRY ME?!" She shouted again before Atsumu could say anything. It made the golden-haired setter stuttered and invited the crowd's voices to come.
"OI YUI!!! YOU— DAMN!!" He shouted while swinging the medal he was holding. "That should be my line! Why are you doing it?!" That man was about to get ready to run towards where she was standing when the girl shouted at him again.
"Answer that first, idiot! Marry me! Do you want it or not?"
"Amaya Yui!!" He growled, trying desperately to hide his embarrassment on his face. "You're the one who's an idiot, huh?! Of course I want to! You don't remember how I fought over it back then—" His words stopped when his eyes saw Yui climb the metal railings of the spectator seats and jump like a swimmer who found her favorite pool. "You stupid gir—" Atsumu shut his mouth as he felt the weight on his face, a part of the girl's body he loved perfectly landing in his arms. It made him tremble with indescribable surprise and joy.
"Why are you so stupid?" He asked in whisper while tightening his embrace.
"Looks like I caught your stupidity." The girl in his arms answered carelessly. Makes him snort in annoyance. "So, will you marry me?"
"Oh come on! I told you that's my line you idiot!"
Yui chuckled. Their exterior personalities bring them to grow softer around the edges as their characters develop. It makes him less rebellious and her less depressed. And of course make them love each other even more.
"I want to marry you for sure!"
"Then kiss me."
"Oh God, how come you act this cute?" Atsumu gave tons of kisses on her lips which makes the supporters screamed even crazier. "Are you happy now? Everyone is watching."
"I haven't been this happy in years." Yui hugged him tightly and let him rest his head on the crook of her neck. "I'm so in love with you, Miya Atsumu."
This was so much for him and at the same time, not enough. He wanted more of her. He wanted her time, which has been confiscated because of all the problems that surround them. Her laughter, her happy face, even her sadness. He wanted all of her, physically and emotionally. And he was going to get all of it because she allowed him to do so.
"I love you too, Amaya Yui."
