"No! Why the heck are you so pushy?" Yui pursed her lips. Feeling annoyed with the request of the person on the other side.
"Come on, Yui. Just once. We will have training in the indoor pool at the stadium near your university."
"Why should I come?"
"So you can meet me?"
Yui scoffed.
"I do not want to."
"Shoyo wants to meet you."
"Alright, I'll come with Hitoka."
"Eh? WHY DID YOU WANT TO MEET SHOYO INSTEAD?!"
"Because I miss him." Yui heard Atsumu snort, making the dark-eyed girl chuckle.
"See you tomorrow, Miya Atsumu." Her hand hurriedly cut the call and returned to the room where Haru and Hitoka were waiting.
"Miya-san?" Haru blatantly asked.
Yui briefly nodded before staring at Hitoka.
"Ano.. Hitoka-chan, can you accompany me to Black Jackals training tomorrow?"

A pair of sneakers swung down on a bench at the bus stop. Hitoka, the shoe owner, looked straight at the busy street in front of her. Her bright eyes blinked several times, and her mind flew to yesterday's event when Yui left him alone with Haruka.
It was still clear in her memory that the man looked agitated when he found out that the person who was calling Yui was Atsumu. His worries were so obvious that it made Hitoka, who tried not to care about him, feel it too.
—
"Nanase-san likes Yui-san, huh?" The owner of the sea-blue eyes was surprised to respond to Hitoka's question. "Wow, is it right? Well, it's so obvious, though. It's strange how Yui-san didn't realize your feelings."
Haru bit his lower lip and answered her question.
"Maybe Yui-san herself doesn't want to realize it."
—
Hitoka sighed deeply. Why was love so complicated? She still remembered when Yui returned to their apartment after she broke up with Atsumu. Her face looked expressionless and pale. Shortly after she asked what had happened, her tears broke the night. As long as she could remember, those were the times when Yui was at her lowest point. What made her happy was only when television broadcasted the Black Jackals match, where she saw Atsumu playing volleyball on the court. She would sit back on the sofa and mumble about how great Atsumu is.
"Hitoka-chan!"
"Yui-san." The blonde-haired girl waved her hand.
"Thank you for going with me." Yui hugged her small friend. "Sorry, I'm late because I have something to do on campus."
Hitoka smiled.
"Everything is fine for me as long as Yui-san is happy to meet Atsumu-san."
Yui's face turned red, realising that she could not hide her feelings from her friend. They walked down the sidewalk to the big stadium in front of them. She could see a bright orange haired man jumped up and down to greet them from afar.
"Yui-san! Yachi-san!"
Yui accelerated her steps then hugged the bundle of joy in front of her.
"Shoyo!!! I miss you!!!"
