"She no longer needs me"
The more I want you
My reality gets heavier I guess everything will be difficult after this hasty confession
Nevertheless, I can't take it anymore
I wanna run to you now
Because I want you every moment of my life...*****
A beep sound that repeatedly came from the bedside table made the man who curled up in the blanket open his eyes slowly. Feeling the sunlight that is too dim, he breaks shyly into his apartment. Swear to God, but this time, it felt like he hated waking up from his sleep.
A pair of firm, big hands rubbed his wet eyes while remembering the dream that had just crept into his brain.
'What a nightmare about breaking up'
He saw his hand, then clenched it. What happened in his dream felt so real. Her body, her breath, her hair, her scent—even the place where they foolishly made love for the first time.
Everything felt so real.
'Shit'
He had not finished cursing his nightmare when his ears heard the pitter-patter sound on the window of his room.
'Is it raining?'
He took his phone furiously.
7.30
'Ah I am late for morning training today'
He sighed and shifted the red button on his phone screen. Turned off the noise that had been filling his room and found a pair of eyes that were as dark as night staring at him from the screen. He gritted his teeth and hide his face in his palm.
'Damn!'
*****
"You will bring me Onigiri Miya, won't you?" The voice from the other telephone line whined a little.
"Yes, Bokuto-san, I'll bring it to you. Sorry, I am late. I am overslept."
"Very nice! Finally, you realize your mistake! Ha ha ha ha! Thank you, Tsum Tsum." The crisp voice of the owl's head was interrupted when Atsumu ended the call before he hit the brakes and stopped his car.
'I hate rain'
His tall body came out of the car with an umbrella covering his head. His eyes looked at the onigiri shop in front of him.
"Yo Tsumu."
"Osu."
A person who looked like him waved his hand from behind the shop.
"You have no training today?"
Atsumu put down his gym bag and sat down at one of the 'Onigiri Miya' tables. "I was late, and Bokuto-san asked me to bring him your tuna onigiri. So yeah.." He shrugged. "I stopped by here."
"Hmm, why? You look bad. Had another nightmare?"
Atsumu looked at his twin brother with a surprised look before breaking their gaze and turning his face to the table in front of him.
"Tsk. It seems like I can't lie to you, huh?"
Osamu only sighed before continuing his work of making onigiri.
"If you're sick, I'm sick too. How could I not understand who you are now?" He trailed off his words. "Besides, it's really rare to see you so depressed because of breaking up with women."
Atsumu was ready to hit his little brother's head, but he snapped it and balled his fist on the table.
"I've never played with women, Samu. They approached me by themselves, and I was never interested in them."
His brother's dark eyes followed his nervous look.
"But..?"
"But what?" That blondie furrowed his eyebrows at Osamu's question.
"But what about this one?"
He gushed.
"She's different, Samu."
Osamu looked at his brother with a concerned look. His eyes caught the sad and gloomy expression on Atsumu's face. That Japanese national volleyball player now looks like a little fox who lost its mother. That onigiri man glanced at his brother's cellphone, which kept lighting up because of all of the notifications.
'Gosh, he still keeps her picture as the wallpaper. You are so pathetic, Miya Atsumu'

"Welcome to the store!"
A cheerful voice from the lips of the dark-haired girl with the ponytail welcomed everyone who entered the 10x15-meter convenience store near the intersection. Her hands deftly directed the scanner to every good.
"You need something else? No? Okay then, here are your groceries; thank you!"
She smiled as she bowed her body to her customer.
"You look very excited today, Yui-chan."
That girl called Yui turned to the voice that praised her, then showed her sweetest smile.
"Of course, boss!" She answered while rolling up the sleeves of her work uniform. "I'll do my best to keep your store in good shape!"
"Hahahaha, good! Then I can count on you." The store owner's voice blurted out with the sound of a bell that rang when the convenience store door was opened.
Her black eyes automatically turned to the door in front of her.
"Welcome to th—" She stopped her words, like she was seeing a ghost in broad daylight.
Someone with a tall and athletic figure rushed into the store with a very familiar golden lock. The face with a firm line looked a little annoyed with the water that wet his hair and the top of the shirt he was wearing. His mouth muttered with a soft curse.
"I hate rain."
"I hate rain." The girl mumbled the same thing. Make a pair of misty brown eyes behind the strands of hair that covered part of his handsome face and glance at the cashier counter.
Shit.
He was stunned. Cursing inside his head and asking about how many times the universe must joke with him. His large hand, which used to toss the volleyball, gripped the door handle he had been holding.
He gulped. Caught his breath in his throat.
It's been almost six months.
It's been almost six months since he didn't see the girl in front of him anymore. It's almost six months after they broke up as lovers. And it's been almost six months since he got closer to the possibility of losing his sanity, just because he desperately tried to forget the girls who were still as beautiful as ever.
No. She looks more beautiful.
"We-welcome to the store."
And that's her voice.
Checkmate.
