By the time Kimmy received her invitation, Lancelot and Odette were already halfway to Mahar Pura. It was afternoon when she decided to check her mail, an ornate envelope inside. She thought this was peculiar until she opened the envelope. It's contents include a beautiful invitation, plane tickets of her own, and accommodation within the Mahar Pura Palace as one of the closest friends of the bride.

Kimmy couldn't bring herself to be happy despite of the honor to be invited to a Royal Wedding. She sobbed within her hand for the fate of her best friend, locked into a lifetime of Royal duties that she didn't ask for. The world was cruel to everyone, even including the amazing Guinevere Baroque.

Maybe it wouldn't be that bad. Guinevere would still live a life of luxury and that's much better than a lot of people. But deep inside Kimmy knows this was killing her best friend's soul little by little, until nothing was left of her. Until then, she'll be a crowned woman without a soul.

"I still have to go," Kimmy wiped the tears and snot that painted her face after her breakdown. "It's the least I can do for her."

At the least, Alicia allowed her redhead step daughter to invite an old friend like Kimmy. Perhaps, Guinevere and Alicia have been going well. Maybe it was to save face, to make sure Guinevere doesn't look like a loser without any friends to the world. Nevertheless, when footage of the Royal Wedding reach Youtube, Guinevere's fans would riot. Where was GuineYT? And why was she suddenly getting married to a crown prince older than her exactly at her eighteenth birthday?

And what about Granger? Is it the end of Granevere?

If enough people clamor, maybe they will be heard. Maybe the injustices will be unearthed.

Kimmy stretched her joints and began packing, making sure to bring things that Guinevere might miss. She rushed to order tons of Macao Imperial milktea, some makeup from PR that she didn't get to review or wear before she was abducted by her own family. She also called Odette and Lancelot and discovered that they already left.

Kimmy sighed. Not a happy reunion at all.

After a long journey, Kimmy finally made it to the Mahar Pura Palace. It was so huge that she had to look up to see the peak. Much bigger than Baroque Residence, by a landslide. But bigger houses means bigger empty spaces. Empty spaces only bring loneliness.

Turns out, the palace was not lonely at all. The halls were filled with people rushing to prepare the palace for the grandiose celebration. The public viewing areas were drowning in flowers and light fixtures, making it seem like a cottagecore fantasy. The gold and red decorations were so  overwhelming that Kimmy had to hide away in her room to which she was gladly lead to.

"You are Miss Kimmy, correct? Lady Guinevere's friend?" Her guide asked while scanning her eyed through the invitation in her hand.

"Yes, I am." She responded meekly.

"Your room is a hall away from the lady. Right now, I believe she's having afternoon tea with esteemed guests. You may head there if you wish to see her."

Kimmy laughed. "Will that tea party be filled with noble people I do not know?"

Even the guide gave a little chuckle herself. "It's your first time here so I assume so, ma'am."

"I think I'll pass up, but I'm grateful for the invitation. Do you by chance know when she'll be free?"

"The Lady has barely any free time but hopefully after dinner, you can come visit her room."

'Understandable.' Kimmy frowned. She wondered how is her bestfriend under all the suffocating pressure. Was she still the happy and sweet girl as before? Hopefully the past few months didn't change her. Deep inside she was anxious that the girl wouldn't recognize her anymore.
