"It's so funny that you still try..." Alicia pouted in mock pity and dangled Guinevere's smashed phone in her hand. Shards were poking up dangerously with the metal bent in such a rough angle. There was no way her phone was still alive.

"You're never going to talk to them again. Sorry sweetie, I don't make the rules. Your father says so."

Guinevere refrained to let out an animalistic growl. Actually, Guinevere refrained to show any emotions as it will prompt Alicia to mock her even further. She leaned into the balcony and stared on to the distance. "My father?"

The young girl tried everything. Letters, message in a bottle, everything! Just to reach out to her friends in the Moniyan Empire, but it all proved to be a failure. Her letters were seized and burned, while her messages in a bottle were taken by Sea Clean-Up Committee.

She didn't know there was such a thing.

All her efforts were futile so the feeling of defeat lingered in her. "That's it. I'm forever going to be a prisoner in this unfamiliar place. I'm never going to see my friends again. I'm never going to see Granger again."

"Abandon all hope, all who cross me." Alicia whispered to herself and closed the door to Guinevere's quarters. Guinevere was quite ballsy to even challenge her, now it lead them here.

When Guinevere's phone was alive and well, she did try to book a flight back. Absolutely crazy, she knows, but it didn't hurt to try. She did find a flight back to Moniyan, but she cannot push through the payment. Guinevere tried numerous times with different airlines and dates, yet her card was declined time and time again.

Once again, Alicia shook her head and called her a 'silly girl'. Being a minor, her parents have control over her finances. They could freeze her cards, even if they were rightfully hers. Her possession was also her father's possession. The ember of hope she had within her was slowly fading.

The night was young, but she didn't have any motivation to stay up. Being awake was a waste of time, since it was her all alone once again. Sleep was a much better option, since she actually have the chance to see her friends.

At least in her dreams, she could kiss Granger goodnight.

Their kisses and constant bickering was the only ember of hope within her. At least, if she was stuck in a loveless marriage for life, she experienced love once. She wouldn't have the balls to say it to the emo boy, but she loved him.

Not past tense. She still loves him. More than ever.

A faint knock brought her head down from the heavens and she heaved a deep sigh. Her body sluggishly walked towards the door due to lack of drive to even function. "Yes?"

"The queen has ordered us to dress you up for dinner with the royal family."

"Huh," Guinevere muttered. Royal Family? Then the Prince must be present. Maybe she would have to learn to like this Prince if she was going to live with him for the rest of her meaningless life. "So the prince must be present?"

The handmaiden smiled kindly to her. "Yes. Yes, he is." She lead the girl out of her room and took her in a long walk towards the spa. "We were tasked to pamper you for the day, my lady. We hope it would be up to your liking."

Guinevere nodded and followed the woman, aimlessly shifting her gaze to nothing in particular. So it seems that in the weeks she was here, she already memorized the paintings on the walls or the patterns on the ceilings. After a silent stroll, they arrived in front of massive, translucent, frosted glass doors. Above the entryway was a sign that said 'Queen's Spa'.
