Chapter Ten

Once the movie ended, the two teens decided it was time to eat something. Granger drove them to the nearby mall and parked near the entrance.

They walked around the mall, Granger's jacket still covering Guinevere's shoulders. The girl made goofy faces towards the camera, seemingly bored. Whereas, he couldn't hold in his amused smirk.

"I'm in the mood for milktea." The young Baroque declared. Granger was unsure what to do.

"Okay, we'll get you some." Granger replied quickly. "Is it the thing you always drink in your stream?"

She just nodded happily. "Wait–you watched my stream?"

"We watched it together with Alu. It came as a surprise to us that you even play."

"I'm no pro." Guin shrugged and turned to the camera. "Anyway, we're going to be getting some milk tea. My viewers already know my favorite milk tea shop and that is–Macao Imperial!"

The girl gushed and jogged happily towards the milk tea shop she just mentioned. Granger flipped the camera towards the happy girl and laughed at the sheer ball of energy. He can't help but feel a little light and warm inside.

"Do you want some? Grange?" Guinevere asked, breaking his line of thoughts.

Granger shrugged. "Haven't tried it but if you like it so much, it must be good."

"That's what I like to hear!"

"Oh, Grange." She clasped her hands together. "Be ready to get hooked!"

She ordered for the both of them, seeing that it was his first time entering the shop. Guinevere was curious how he didn't come to taste milk tea before. It's such a craze right now! Every corner in every mall had either a boba or milk tea shop. Of course, being a milk tea connoisseur, she had tasted them all–Macao Imperial being her favorite.

"One cream cheese milk tea, upsize with pearl please." Guinevere ordered politely to the cashier.

"Anything else, Miss?"

Guinevere looked up towards Granger, asking for his order. "Anything you like?"

"You know what–I kinda like you." Granger thought to himself.

"Hehe.." Granger rubbed the nape of his neck, embarrassed at his own thoughts. "I have no idea, honestly. Do you have any recommendation?"

"Aha!" The girl cheered. "One oreo cream cheese milk tea, please. Oh! And with pearl."

The cashier typed in their order, Guinevere handed her debit card.

"Shit, wait–"

"Oh, don't worry." Guinevere waved Granger's protest. "It's your first milk tea so it's my treat!"

The cashier gave back the girl's card and requested them to wait for their drink by the side. They said that they would call them once their drinks are ready.

"Next time you can pay." Guinevere added innocently. Granger gave the slightest smirk.

"Are you saying that we are having a second date?"

"Uh–"

She stammered childishly.

The young Baroque was cut off by Granger's stifled laughter. She raised her fist and playfully smacked the man's shoulder, seemingly red in the face. Her green eyes rolled at him jokingly. "Cheeky."

After receiving their drinks, Guinevere taught the older boy how to drink it properly. She shook both of their drinks, enabling the sweet cream cheese and milk tea to mix deliciously in the cup. They plunged their straws into the cup and happily slurped.
