Guinevere placed down her phone daintily. It was as expected, she lost the bet. Now, she has to video call one of Mister Alucard's friends. Lancelot left frowning, probably wanting to tell his frustration to his dear Odette. The young lady leaned into her gaming chair, waiting for Mister Alucard's friend to call her. Maybe this wasn't serious? It's just for content after all.

Guinevere decided to tell Kimmy of the whole ordeal. Her dear friend and editor was happy to listen to her but she said the whole game was streamed by Alucard already in his channel.

She huffed as Kimmy tried to cheer her up. A text of support and worry that came from Odette warmed her heart. But to be completely honest, the young Baroque was nervous. She absolutely doesn't know this man. Guinevere was aware that he is also a well-known ML Pro player, around her age, with a calm baritone voice–

"What the hell." Guinevere whispered, she pinched her cheeks to get back down to earth. "What the hell am I thinking!"

A call disrupted her line of thoughts as she assumed that it's him. Turns out, it was the boba she ordered earlier.

"Thank gods! I really needed this." She stood up from her gaming chair and walked towards the lobby of their residence. Felicity, a young maid, handed her order to her.

"Here it is, Guin." Felicity nodded, quite shy about having to call the young Baroque her real name.

"Thank you, Felicity. Would you mind giving a tip to the delivery? That would be fantastic."

"I already left a tip, miss."

"That's great, thank you!" Guinevere smiled as she took her upsize cream cheese milk tea. "Please call me Guin, Felicity."

Guinevere would hate to admit but she has a sweet, rotting tooth for milk tea. The resident nutritionist told them about how much sugar these things contain but the teen couldn't honestly give a flying fuck.

Before reaching her computer, she already heard a ringing sound. Guinevere's eyes widened as she rushed to sit in her chair, ready to take the call.

"Granger is calling you"

"Oh gods, it's him." The red head rubbed her sweaty palms together and braced to accept the call.

"Hello!" Guinevere said, her voice an octave higher than usual. She thought he couldn't hear her as his response took a while, until he heard Mister Alucard beckon him to answer.

"Man, what the hell are you doing! Answer her!"

"Fine, fine wait let me chill." The Granger guy said. "Hi Guinevere."

"Mister Alucard! That was so unfair!" Guinevere whined.

"Nothing unfair about the game. He beat you fair and square." Alucard laughed lightly at the girl. "Imma leave you two to talk, okay?" Alucard visibly left the room.

"Uh..hi...again?" Granger said, scratching the nape of his neck. Guinevere didn't like this unconfident behavior.

"Hello! Did Mr. Alucard force you to call me?" The young girl asked straight away. There was no point in going through this if any of them isn't interested or willing.

"Yeah..NO.. actually–um." He stumbled on his words. Guinevere took this time to check out–I mean review the man in front of her.

The first thing she noticed was his hair. It had a white streak coming through it. There wasn't any visible root color, so she presumed that it was natural. It reminded her of a skunk, perhaps that was too mean, maybe of Gusion when he cosplayed as a hairstylist?  No, the young girl thought that this guy looked like Cruella De Ville.

Next, were his red eyes. So red that they looked like carmine pigment. She knows this because of her fascination with makeup. She preferred vegan makeup anyway.

Along those tired, red eyes and through his thick brows ran a scar. It didn't bother her that much. Guinevere thinks it makes him look edgy. Though, she doesn't want to ask whatever happened to him that the scar came to be.

"Guin, are you there?" Granger waved at the camera. "Earth to Guinevere Baroque?"

"Uh, yes I'm here." The confident girl was replaced by a shy teen, not knowing what to say  to this freakishly handsome guy. "How are you?" Seemed like a casual thing to ask.

"I'm good–great actually. Wait, what should I call you? Is Guine fine?"

"Whatever you like." Guinevere answered with a sweet smile. "What do you go by as? Granger? Can I call you that?"

"Sure!" Granger smiled the best as he could, his cheek muscles stretching awkwardly at this cute girl in front of her. This is why he keeps his face under a mask for fuck's sake.

"But you can call me daddy."

Granger pinched his thigh at the thought. "I know I can rival Alu in green jokes but this is definitely not the time."

"How old are you, Guine?" Usually that's not something you ask girls you first meet, but Granger is not trying to land in jail.

"17. How about you?

"I'm 19."

"Oh"

"Yeah, kinda old."

"It's just two years, it's not that weird." The young Baroque laughed.

"How long have you been playing?"

"Just a year. Haven't played much recently but I'm proud to reach legend!" The girl beamed. Granger was already in Mythical Glory, but he can't help but feel proud for the girl anyway. "How'd you reach that high of a rank, anyway? I could never imagine myself stepping into Mythic."

"Playing this game is my job, actually."

"Oh? Is it fun? To work and play at the same time?"

"Most of the time. But it does get pretty stressful. It strains my eyes and my brain."

"Huh."

"Sounds unbelievable but it is pretty draining."

"Oh I see why." Guinevere chuckled. Her laugh sent tingles down the older boy's spine. Granger straightened his back at the sensation.

"What's you're favorite color?"

"Running out of ideas?" Guinevere giggled. She didn't know why she was giggling like an idiot. But she felt like giggling all the time. "Look at my room, it's obvious."

"Violet."

"Uh-huh, what about you?"

"Red."

"I thought it would be black"

"Because I dress with it all the time and look like and emo?" Granger raised his brow. "Fair enough. But I think it's the only color I look good in."

"I beg to differ." Guinevere waved her dainty hands. "You would look great in white and blue."

"Is this free fashion advice?"

"Yup, and your hair would look cool with it. Provides contrast." Guinevere added, picturing Granger.

"You would look hot with it."

She decided to just keep that statement in her thoughts, never to be said.
