Unfortunately, they lost the game.
It wasn't really a big deal. Their team just brushed the loss off. Besides, there was no point of crying over spilled milk.
Who wasn't okay? Granger and Lancelot.
Granger had to place his hand upon his heart, feeling like he has some sort of heart disease. Its beating was fast and erratic that he almost thought he had arrythmia.
He was fine watching Guinevere pass the card to Chou, since it was the premise of the game. What he couldn't stand was when Chou tried to cup her face passionately. The dragon boy had the audacity to look up to Granger and wink.
Granger wanted to shoot the guy right then and there.
As for Lancelot, he fainted at the image of her sister. It was too much for his poor heart to bear. Odette dragged him to their suite to rest. Hopefully, he'd wake up soon. Party was about to start and Odette wasn't going to miss it.
If she has to, she'll slap the light out of Lancelot to wake him up.
Guinevere came back to her suite that she shared with Kimmy. "That was exhausing."
"I know." Kimmy stared at the girl, motionless on the floor. "Dude, at least shower or something. Party begins at 9."
"Who even goes to a party early?" Guinevere laughed. "It's so awkward. You'd have to put up the tables yourself or something."
Kimmy shrugged. "True. But you better shower right now, young lady."
"Okay, mom." She rolled her emerald eyes jokingly at her friend. Kimmy threw an empty water bottle at her direction. "Okay okay!"
She turned on the shower and messed with the temperature for a bit until it was perfect. Then she removed her clothes and stepped into the warm shower, feeling the water soothe her skin. She wanted to make her shower short, but soon enough she was consumed by her thoughts.
"Is water wet?"
"If two mind readers read each other's minds, whose mind are they reading?"
It was time to finally break free from her random thoughts. She sighed as she left the comfort of the shower, dried herself, and changed into robe.
"Please do my make up later, Guin."
"Hmm." She hummed amusedly. Kimmy wasn't one to care much about makeup. "That's a first, Kimmy."
Kimmy shyly looked down. "Shut up."
Based on her reaction, Guinevere knew something was definitely up. They knew each other that well.
"Shower first, stinky. Then tell me everything!"
Guinevere changed into a pale yellow tube top dress that had string-like straps. To be honest, she saw Blackpink Jennie wearing this and thought that it looked amazing. The fabric was velvet so it was warm yet soft to the touch. After a while, she was admiring herself on how girly yet womanly she looked.
She did her usual makeup but went with a little more eyeshadow and mascara as usual. Not planning much on her hair, she combed it gently and tried to tame her curls.
"Ugh, can you please just work with me tonight?" Guinevere whispered at her rowdy hair. "Don't make it harder than it already is."
She wished she had someone to fix it. Silently, she wished Granger would suddenly appear to braid her hair.
"That was a month ago!" She huffed at herself, feeling ridiculous for remembering the memory.
Good thing Kimmy went out of the bathroom, which gave her a break from her idealistic thoughts. The blonde editor changed into some blue denim shorts and a half tucked, loose button up shirt. Then, paired it up with some cool sneakers.
