The warm welcome immediately fell flat for Guinevere.

Time seems to stand still when you are left in solitude in a giant palace. Only servants and tutors being your constant companion. Lancelot and Odette called a few times, but she was not yet ready to forgive them. Most especially, Lancelot.

She wandered many times through the palace, trying to entertain and immerse herself with the rich culture of Mahar Pura. What sparked some inspiration inside of her was the heavily patterned clothing on the female servants, as well as the intricate carvings on the walls and ceilings.

But no matter how beautiful the palace is, it always felt cold and desolate. There was no friend for her to talk and confide with, especially in these trying times of her life.

Speaking of the reason she was here, Guinevere didn't even meet the prince. Around the halls she looked, but there was no trace of his existence. Not even a mere shadow. She begrudgingly asked Alicia about it, but the vile woman just chuckled and left her. Perhaps having also no idea why the prince is still not here.

She tried to ask the staff of the palace, but they only gave her shoulder shrugs. They did say that the Prince usually doesn't stay for long, as he has a lot of duties. That includes studying, military training, and charity work.

Guinevere was bored. Not that she blames the prince, but Alicia, for ruining her shoot and insisting they come as early as possible.

Due to having absolutely nothing to do, she has resumed to her favorite past time: playing with makeup. It seems as if it's the only thing that can entertain her right now. She painstakingly drew the sharpest and most natural looking eyeliner that was humanly possible. Her makeup skills have improved drastically the past week.

Though, it never felt that same as before. She was used to chattering endlessly to the cameras, sharing her enthusiasm about beauty products. Now, it's only her and her reflection talking to each other.

"Sooo, I'm just going to do my eyebrows." Guinevere spoke to herself. "Take my time to draw in each hair for a seamless, au naturale look."

Despite of having no cameras around, she retained the habit of talking to herself while doing her makeup. It makes her feel sane and grounded.Though, she probably looked insane to the servants of the palace.

"So I'm using this cheek tint from 3CE. I just love their tints. They're all so pigmented but so blendable." She sighed dreamily, fantasizing about her old life. Now, she's 17 years of age, to be betrothed to someone, and achieved nothing in her pathetic little life.

The hole in her chest just seems to deepen each day. Thoughts of her friends and especially Granger flood her mind every time, making her space out in the most inconvenient moments.

She received painful pinches and nudges from Alicia to remind her to keep her head off the clouds. But she just couldn't.

Suddenly, a plan brewed in her busy mind. As of now, she has most likely discovered the nooks and crannies of this palace from her two weeks of stay. She was certain she was ready for a change of scenery.

Her feet led her to the closet, which had numerous dresses already ready for her to wear. Most of the clothing articles were her style, but some dresses stuffed in the rear end of the walk-in closet were casual women's wear in Mahar Pura.

Her green eyes dazzled in joy. Just exactly what she was looking for.

She excitedly rummaged through the clothes and found something that looked simple enough to pass as a commoner, not a noble lady. She took the pale cream dress in her hands and inspected it.
