The chambers of Lankeshwari echoed with her painful screams and sobs. She wailed and trashed the air around her in pain as it just increased with time. Her beauteous visage turned red with all the crying and her big doe eyes swelled. The maids and nursemaids rushed here and there, trying their best to lessen the pain of the wailing queen but failed.Mandodari's breaths picked up as she gasped hard, trying to take in as much air as possible, gaining energy to give birth to her baby. After hours of pain, she crashed on the bed again, unable to hold herself together anymore.
"Lankeshwari! Lankeshwari don't loose consciousness. Stay awake please." A dasi patted her cheeks as Mandodari closed her eyes.
"Please my queen, don't close your eyes. Please stay awake for Lankesh, for the yuvraj. Please Lankeshwari wake up "
Give me strength Mahadev.
Mandodari prayed mentally and again opened her eyes, gripping the sheets under her in a tight grip, she again pushed.
Meanwhile, Visharva rishi, Vibhishan and Kaikesi waited outside the chamber, anticipating the birth of the heir of Lanka.
"Putra Vibhishan, where is Dashanan?" Visharva asked his son who gave him nervous glances.
"Pitashree...jyesht is...." Vibhishan hesitated.
"Don't be nervous Vibhishan. Speak freely." He urged his son to speak.
"Pitashree, bhratashree Dashanan has decided to summon all the planets to the align themselves in the most auspicious way at the time of his son's birth." Visharva sighed and shook his head.
"He has gone crazy."
"No. He's not crazy. He's intelligent. He knows how to keep the demon race together and expand it." Kaikasi commented.
"Don't Kaikasi. Even after knowing that everything has an end, your son thinks that he'll be able to make his son immortal? This shows how his knowledge failed him." Kaikasi turned to her husband angrily.
"My son is immortal. He's the one who conquered the trilok. He has the aadipatya of entire trilok. Yamraj, the lord of death is at his feet and you think he is not immortal." Kaikasi shook her head and continued.
"My son gave demons the right place in the society. I'm proud to be mother of great Lankesh, Surpankha and Kumbhkaran."
"Kaikasi, stop your son. I was silent till Ravan took away his brother's home. But now, he's crossing limits. Summoning the planets? No way." Visharva rishi tried to persuade his wife.
"You are saying as if its the first time he's summoning someone. Stop it. What he's doing is right."
"I feel disgusted with all of you. I am ashamed that I left Ilavida for you. One is my son Kubera, who even after loosing his kingdom world hard and takes care of Indra's treasure. And here is your son, who just knows how to take someone's hard earned possessions. I can't stand this demonic family even for a second now. I am leaving to never come back. I'll apologize to Ilavida for my behavior."
