Hey everyone,
This book is about the queen of Lanka who is overshadowed by everyone else in the epic saga of Ramayana.
She was a righteous, beautiful, pure and an obedient woman who always tried to show her husband the path of truth and righteousness, who guided her husband at each and every point of her life and who also stood by her husband despite the fact that he was wrong.
People may say she was wrong to support evil or that she deserved it as she married a monster.
But no one ever tried to think about her feelings, her efforts are always looked upon. Was she wrong or was it just her destiny?
Was she a culprit for supporting an evil husband or a victim who suffered because of her husband's evilness?
Let's embark on a journey of a bygone empress who was beautiful, righteous, obidient, sweet, strong and inspiring.
Let's try to find out that what was so pure and special about her that she bagged the designation of a panchakanya - the five women in sanatan dharma who are considered as purest and most chaste women and just chanting their names in the morning can ward off evil and wash away sins.
Let's peak into her life, her thoughts, her feelings, her helplessness, her efforts, her sacrifices and her chastity as a person.
This book will focus on Ravan's beloved wife who he actually loved and respected. It will focus on her feelings and point of views rather than events of Mahabharata.
I will try my best to portray the character of Mandodari as she is not really talked about or mentioned anywhere.
It will be Ramayan from Mandodari's point of view.
