I sat next to Rex while we watched Doctor Who. He looked up as Eli came back with the popcorn. He sat next to Rex and kissed his cheek. I physically felt Rex scotch closer to me. I looked at them both awkwardly but no one responded. I picked up the remote as the Netflix screen popped up with 'are you still watching Doctor Who'
"Can we not watch this nerd shit?" Eli spoke up.
"Come on man it's our night," I looked at him. He rolled his eyes and shrugged.
"Eli just...can you not act like this tonight?" Rex looked at Eli.
"Act like what?" He looked back at him.
"You know your whole tough shit thing," he rolled his eyes.
"This is me, like it or not." Eli yelled back at him.
"Guys keep it down you're gonna wake up my mom," I tossed some popcorn at them.
"Can we go talk?" Rex stood up.
"I guess," Eli shrugged standing up. I watched Rex take Eli's hand as they walked out the back door onto my back porch.
