"For my first date I never expected to have to dress up this fancy," I spoke out loud to Enzo.

I was standing in front of the mirror whilst I admire how beautiful the dress was that Enzo had picked out for me. Today I found out he loved shopping, but me not so much.

I'm not joking, he took me to every single expensive shop and I lost track of the number of dresses I had to try on. He said it has to be absolutely perfect, then eventually he fell in love with this beautiful deep blue one.

Thin straps lay gently over each arm, just off my shoulders. The dress was a mermaid style, so it hugged my upper body perfectly, right down just below my bum then flowed down. The lace detail along the bodice sparkled like tiny little diamonds. I left my hair in large curls that spiralled down my front, and just below my breasts. Deep red lips that stood out against my tanned golden skin and my eyes popped with the dark shades on my eyelids and my winged eyeliner. I wasn't too keen on makeup but I was quite impressed with how different it made m look. Two simple studded earrings and my mums necklace lay against my chest.

"We can wear our pyjamas next time and have a little slumber party, pillow fights and gossip. That's what you girls do isn't it?" He replied with a chuckle.

"Presuming again, are we? I think we both know I'm not like most girls, as you see my best friends are guys, and I would rather gouge my eyes out than hit someone with a pillow for fun."

"Not them big beautiful blue eyes of yours." Now he sounded like we were in the same room.

"Wow," He rasped out when I turned to face him.

This is the first time I have ever been in awe of another man, and I am around them all the time. Disturbingly I have seen my best friends naked, and it's something I would love to burn from my mind.

"My bluebird."

"Bluebird?" I asked him, carefully taking a step forward trying not to trip over the dress.

"Yeah," he smiled, then started patting his pants in search of something, "you're little and sweet, with a bit of a peck to ya and well, them pretty blue eyes just melt me."

"You're no Shakespeare," I said.

"Do I look like some old dude?" he looked at me briefly before taking out a black box with a blue ribbon on it.

He definitely didn't. You could practically see his muscles bulging against the thin material of his white shirt. His hair was messy but in a good way, and his eyes sparkle with happiness. He didn't have one flaw on his clear skin.

"The eyes are the window to your soul,"

"Eh?" He asked me in confusion, twirling the box in his hand.

"Just a better quote for my eyes don't you think, you can read a persons soul by just looking into them."

"Can you read mine?" He asked and he stepped closer, leaning down so we were eye level.

I carefully looked into his eyes, the mixture of colours astounded me. His minty breath lightly fanned against my lips, his tongue subtly licked his bottom lip, and he didn't blink as I just admired him up close.

"You don't trust easily and you have a troubling past that you don't want to burden anybody with. Your soul is pure but your heart isn't. You have demons that you fight every day, and all you want is someone to love you, like how your mum loved your dad." I spoke shakily, hoping I didn't step over any boundaries.

My nerves were escalating as he just looked at me quietly, and I couldn't help but notice his eyes drifting from my lips to my eyes a few times. I could see him having a little debate in his own head from the way his eyebrows rose ever so slightly.

"I guess Shakespeare was right about one thing," He whispered to me.

His hand lay gently on my waist causing me to suck in a breath, the way he moved in closer I just knew I was about to have my first kiss. Was Enzo the right person to experience this with? Cause I can feel something in my gut and I just hoped he wasn't messing with me. If this was to go further than friendship then I want something that is forever, not something quick till he gets bored.

"I've never kissed anyone before," I gulped waiting for him to speak, just as his nose brushed against mine.

"So I'll be the first to taste these lips?"

I blushed at his statement, his fingers pinched my chin lightly so I would look at him. My skin was tingling from anticipation.

"Don't be embarrassed in front of me Blue, you might not believe it but I have never kissed anyone either. No one has ever caught my eye, but you, you caught my attention the moment you spilt coffee all over me."

I couldn't help but shyly grin at him as I held onto his jacket, crushing the material between my fingers, my freshly painted nails digging into the buttons.

"Promise me you won't hurt me."

"I promise to protect your heart and make you happy." His voice was deep and raspy.

Finally, his lips touched mine, sparks flew in every direction, and the world was slowly fading around us, along with all of our worries. It was a small but warm kiss that heated up my retire body. I never knew my first kiss that was supposed to be so innocent felt intimate and electrifying. His lips were moving in perfect sync with mine, his hands feeling my waist, pulling me closer, deeper and more passionate. My hands automatically reached up to the back of his neck, playing with the ends of his soft hair. A smile grew on his face, from my fingers lightly tickling his skin and finally, we pulled apart.

"My hearts in trouble."

So is mine Enzo Knox, and I am all for it.
