I slammed the door behind me and walked away from the house, my emotions were giving me a headache.

It was getting dark, the sun setting behind the clouds and the stars had begun to shine.

All I could think was who the hell were I supposed to trust now?

My dad hurt my mum in the worst possible way, and I hurt my big sister. Something I thought I would never do, she's always been by my side and look what I did.

I'd never do it on purpose but that doesn't matter, I hurt her and she might not forgive me. What frustrates me the most is she jumped in front of that dick. What she sees in him I don't know, but I don't like how he's always around her now.

My mum cheated on my dad which resulted in Jackson being Callums. I'm just sick to death of my family, the secrets they keep from me and my siblings.

I kicked the stones beneath my feet as I stormed down the street, and as I pulled my hood up someone started to call my name.

I lifted my head to see Harrison walking over to me, he threw the last of his cigarette onto the ground behind him before hopping onto the pavement next to me.

"So King, did your mum tell you?"

Oh yeah, the apparent secret that everyone is keeping from me and my siblings.

"No," I huffed and looked back at the house.

All I wanted was to be left alone, but wherever I go he shows up out of thin air like he's stalking me or some shit.

"Typical, your mum lies about everything. This is why we need your help to stop her, Noah needs your help."

"The headteacher?"

Harrison nodded, "Your mum killed Noah's family. She killed your uncle and so many others Hunter, and now she wants him dead. Did you know the burns on her arms are from when she tried killing Noah by setting a building on fire?" I looked at him in shock.

Is my mum really this evil?

My mum hates any sort of violence so it's hard to believe anything that he says is true.

"I don't understand why my mum would want to hurt her own family, is any of this actually true? Is she really in control of a Mafia? Is she actually this cold-blooded killer you're making her out to be?" I rushed out, my eyes burning into his.

He suddenly frowned and pushed me up against a wall, his hands clenching my Hoodie and his face held no emotion.

"Are you calling me a liar?" He snarled.

I slightly smirked, "Why should I trust you when you haven't shown me any proof? I'm pissed at my mum for other reasons now, and all you have done is chat shit about her. If Noah has a problem himself tell him to come to me and stop being his fucking errand boy. I hurt my sister because of you. I'm not doing these drug dealings anymore for you, so piss off before I put you under the fucking ground. Isn't that were worms belong?"

I couldn't stop myself from trying to piss him off, it was like something had taken over and I didn't give a damn about the consequences. His eyes were practically bulging and his hands had become tighter but I just didn't care.

My mum has kept secrets from me but there's no way she's this evil person he's made her out to be. I'm sick of the secrets so I'll ask her myself, but I'm done listening to all the lies he's been telling me about her. I admit for some time it's changed me personally and my behaviour towards my mum. Even after acting this way she's still stood by me.

"If you don't help Noah then I will target everyone you love."

"You won't be fucking touching anyone I love." I managed to push him off me, but he only stumbled backwards by two steps.

His eyes looked black from his pupils dilating and he smiled at me, rolling his shoulders back, "Firstly I'll start with that beautiful sister of yours, don't worry though I won't hurt her... yet," he licked his lips, "I'll fuck her tight little pussy before I strangle her whilst I watch the life drain from her eyes."

That's all it took for me to take a swing at him, my fist colliding with his cheek and I didn't give him time to retaliate. I gripped his neck and punched him twice against his stomach and he managed to knock me clean off my feet onto the side of the road. A felt a sting along my arm but shrugged it off and jumped back up, using the back of my hand to wipe the trickle of blood running from my nose.

"Did I touch a nerve?" He began laughing, his split lip was bleeding, "You should be worried about your mother."

"Over my dead body will you touch my mum." I snarled and moved forward ready to pummel him some more till he pulled something out of the back of his pants.

A gun.

A fucking gun.

"I've been told not to kill you, but if you won't help us with taking down that mother of yours then you are no use to us. Or maybe we should keep you, torture you till we have your mum and then make you watch us slowly torture her till she begs for death. "

"Shut up," I yelled.

"Ah, ah, ah, careful or my finger might just slip."

There was nobody around us, the streets were completely empty. It was deathly silent, only the sounds of the wind whirling through the trees were heard amongst us.

"I won't let you kill my mum."

"Neither will I."

Another voice was heard behind me and then a gunshot, Harrison yelped in pain as he dropped to the ground. Blood started to spill from his leg as he gritted his teeth.

A tall man walked past me and towards Harrison who seemed to look shocked. He had deep dark chocolate brown hair, that was slightly stuck up at the front, a black leather jacket along with a park of jeans.

"Run along to Noah before I end you, and tell him a war is coming. One that will end him."

His voice was like ice, it sent shivers down my spine and goosebumps along my skin. Harrison practically ran off with a limp with his tail between his legs, leaving a trail of blood droplets on the floor.

The stranger turned around to look at me, his eyes were a blazing green that shined brightly.

"Who are you?" I asked as I raised my eyebrow, the curiosity was eating away at me.

He stuck his hand out and I hesitantly shook it, his grip was strong. He looked familiar from some pictures I had seen but I can't quite figure out from where.

"The names Jacob Porter."
