Part 2
The door opened and the two looked in. The building was empty aside from numerous empty crates. It seemed that the building had been abandoned for some time.
"Did we get the wrong place?" Mirai moaned.
"No, this is the place." Keisaku took a few steps, then stared at the far wall. "The warehouse is behind that wall."
"How can you be so sure?"
"I can hear the machinery behind it. I'd judge there to be at least fifteen workers and........five large suits."
"So this is why that guy wasn't worried. Anyone who followed him from a safe distance would just find an empty building." Keisaku nodded at that. Izuka's worries were for nothing, so the request could be dealt with easily. "So we go in, kill all the workers, and destroy any traces of the life support suits." Mirai summarised their objectives easily. "At this rate, Izuka will be useless." She moaned.
"He has to learn that we don't necessarily always need him. He's a tool, just like us."
"You talk down to him so much, but didn't he beat you in a fight back when you first met?" Mirai teased him, jabbing her elbow into his side. Keisaku ignored her and faced the wall.
"Let's just get this over with," he raised his leg, and prepared to kick the wall.
The entire wall shattered.
His one kick easily destroyed the wall, leaving no trace of its existence.
Fifteen men, all wearing black suits covered by lab coats, were obviously surprised by the sudden intrusion. By the time they all saw Keisaku and Mirai, each one found that a knife had found its way into their hearts.
Mirai snapped her fingers, making all the knives disappear, thus causing overwhelming amounts of blood to flow from their bodies. She giggled.
"I only just had enough knives; how lucky you were!" She tapped the switch on her box, disabling her teleportation.
"I hate boring jobs; I never get to do much." He calmly approached a large exo-body and placed his hand on it. "Bit large for a life support machine. We use stuff half this size to move heavy machinery."
The suit which he was examining had two legs and two arms. From a quick glance, it seemed to used several gyroscopes and lasers to allow it to balance itself even on one foot. The other suits were similar, yet different. One suit had four legs, and had larger arms since it could carry more weight. Another one looked like a mechanical cheetah, and a forth had a large cannon instead of arms, and eight legs for all terrain movements. Of the five, only two had access points for people. The bodies and the entrance points all raised the same question.
'Were these really life support machines?'
The craftsmanship looked out of place with the current technology used by scientists of the outside, and even the materials looked too advanced.
"Anyway; let's just destroy these things, otherwise we won't get paid." Keisaku stepped away from the suits. "Wait........ I hear something........"
"? What is it?"
Seconds later, Mirai also heard it. A long beep coming from one of the suits. It was powering up. Perhaps it was a reaction due to the electromagnetic waves emitted from keisaku's gauntlets?
Regardless, the suit was turning on. It stood up from its crouched position slowly.
(What's it doing?)
The upper torso rotated and scanned the area, and locked on to Mirai. This was either part of the start up sequence, or........
The suit threw a punch her way. With lightning reactions, she switched on her box and moved away. The suit quickly recovered, and now faced both of them.
"Someone must be controlling it from inside. But how didn't I notice them.....?" The suit tried to punch again, this time meeting with one of keisaku's kicks. The suit tumbled back, but swung its other arm at him, knocking him through the distant wall to outside. Mirai used this opportunity to escape.
