Part 7
Izuka packed his suitcase full of pointless things, such as winter clothes and money. First he had to pick up Marika, explain to her boss why she wasn't going to be working, and then get to the airport. Since he was boarding a passenger plane, he was not allowed to carry any weapons. Nevertheless, he could just collect some at the ENIGMA warehouse. The next few days were going to be calm and slow.
"Hey," an unfriendly voice came from behind, "that was quite something. First time someone had a counter measure against me." Izuka turned around to see Keisaku. It had only been a few hours since their fight, but the area had already been fixed. "I'm sorry by the way. That girl isn't your weakness. If anything, she seems to be your strength."
"............thanks." Izuka had not expected his words to be so friendly.
"Don't lose her. If you do, I'll never forgive you." The words he used were nothing like those which Izuka was familiar with.
Keisaku extended his fist.
"Sure." Izuka did the same, ending with a friendly fist bump. Izuka left the underground after saying a brief goodbye to Mirai, who seemed eager to go along and watch him and Marika. After half an hour, he arrived at her apartment.
He carelessly knocked on her door.
"Tsubachi-kun!" The door quickly swung open, through which Marika flew and clung on to Izuka.
"Ready to go, Marika-chan?" He said whilst rubbing her head.
"Un. I can't wait!" Izuka waited for her to grab her suitcase and lock her door. As they began walking, Marika timidly took hold of Izuka's hand.

They arrived at the convenience store where they both walked in and found the boss. The boss was a woman just older than Marika who had just inherited the position.
"Sorry, but it looks like I won't be coming in for a few days." The boss was about to say something, but then she saw that Marika and Izuka were holding hands. She grew a mischievous smile on her face.
"So, where're you two going?"
"Umm.........."
"Britain. I'm going over for work, and I'm bringing her with me. Sorry, but I've taken your clerk for a few days."
"What is it? Honeymoon? You didn't get married and not tell me Marika-san, did you?" Marika turned bright red, and even Izuka became a bit embarrassed.
"Well, whatever. You two have fun. Hey you, don't get her pregnant, she's my best worker."
"!?" Marika was on the verge of tears at this point.
"W-we're not going to be doing anything like that! Mind your own business boss lady!"
"My, so boring. Why'd you get a man like this? He's too innocent. Well, I suppose he suits you then. Whatever. See you in a few days."

"S-sorry about her. She's a bit......y'know......"
"It's no problem. She reminds me of a friend." Unbeknownst to her, Izuka was referring to Mirai. He was unsure how he felt about receding to her as a 'friend' though.
"Well, we should get some sleep on the plane."
"Un. I didn't sleep much last night."
That was how exited she was. Izuka, however, was tired for a different reason. But the fact still remained; the next few days were just going to be the two of them. It was going to be peaceful and quiet.
