Part 9

With Tsubachi Izuka dead and the London eye back in place, Cerebra had no reason to stay there. And so, she started to walk away. Any feelings she had about killing her target were now gone. Or at least, they should've been.
"Why? Why do his words remain in my head, even after his death? The notion of caring more for another than yourself........is against basic survival instincts." Her voice was still the unchanging monotone, but one could now here a slight bit of emotion in her words.
The reason this could be heard was the eerie silence that enveloped the area. Thanks to that, even the slightest sound could be heard.
And that was when she heard it.
She turned around to confirm it, and saw that it had happened.
Tsubachi Izuka, the boy she had pronounced dead, was standing there. His eyes were gloomy and his body limp due to blood loss. Just him standing was unnatural.
"W........." His lips twitched, and words started to form from his mumbles. "Who.........are you?"
She did not reply.
She could not reply.
He had asked her that before, but last time it sounded like a question full of curiosity. This sounded more like hostility.
Izuka checked his body and saw the stab wound, as well as various others that he seemed less interested in.
"I see. You're the one who did this! Hahahahahaha! Nice work! Shame you had to stab in a way that death could be avoided!" He sounded mad. His voice was completely different. As were his mannerisms and the fact that he had a creepy and uncharacteristic laugh.
Cerebra did not intend to leave him alive.
At this point she doubted her own state of mind. Had she subconsciously subdued him rather than killed him?
"Regardless of the fact you were left alive; how are you standing? Your consciousness should have been severed for at least ten minutes, before which point you would've died from blood loss." The girl said coldly, although less so that before and with surprise and something else mixed in. An emotion she couldn't identify.
"That? Didn't you read up on me? How could you drive Mr serious into a corner, and yet not know about me!?" There were no signs of the calm and collective boy from earlier. This was a completely different person. "I don't think I like you! Although you did let me out for a bit, I just want to kill you right now! Can I!? Will you just stand still and let me kill you!? Hahahahahahahaha!!"
For some reason, Cerebra took a step back. Was she perhaps scared? Was it even possible for her to be scared? Even she knew not the answer.
"No matter your answer; I'll kill you!" In an instant, Izuka appeared before Cerebra at point blank range. She reflexively swung down a blade to stop him from attacking. Rather than avoiding, he shielded himself with his arm, with the blade becoming stuck in his bone. Directly afterward, he threw his fist at Cerebra.
The great impact smashed her remaining mask and crushed her skull inward slightly. He had likely increased his power with magnetism.
Cerebra wiped her blood from her face whilst her wounds healed themselves.
"Huh? Ain't that a bit unfair? Well, whatever. This just means I can be as violent as I want! What do you say; will you give me an opportunity to have as much fun as possible before I am suppressed again!?"
"Who are you?" She asked, ignoring his mocking words. "You and Tsubachi Izuka are clearly different people. So, which personality is the real one, and where did the other stem from?"
"Eh? So you finally figured it out, huh?" Izuka snapped his elbow back into place after using his magnetism, and paid no heed to the blood now escaping from his right arm. "The Mr serious you saw earlier is the original. Me? I stemmed from a traumatic event. Now, figure the rest out yourself, cyborg bitch!" He swung one of his arms horizontally. At the same time and in the same motion, a thick steel cable rushed at Cerebra's body. She had a tough body, but even she would be torn in half if hit by a cable of that speed. And so, she ducked beneath its predicted path, having only a few hairs pulled out by the passing cable.
"Traumatic event...........?" She was unfazed even by the amazing attack from an ordinary boy. He now stood with his arms out to his sides and three cables floating around him, all still attached to the London eye. "At the age of twelve, two burglars killed Tsubachi Izuka's parents. In response, Tsubachi Izuka murdered the two criminals responsible. That is the only traumatic event in the record."
"Hm. Took you long enough." He smiled. It was not an evil smile like before. Instead, it was a normal smile befitting of Izuka's body. "That's right. After watching his parents killed, he was conflicted. He wanted revenge, but his young innocent mind was not capable of murder. And so, I was born; an alternate personality. I thoroughly enjoyed killing those fat pigs! They deserved every ounce of excruciating pain I put them through! Since then, I haven't killed. And now, I've come back out to play, and right before my eyes is someone who is an enemy to Mr serious. My lucky day! I get to cut you up into little chunks and make a work of art! Hey, what to you prefer!? A painting or a sculpture!? No, perhaps as a meal on a plate!? Food is still art, so I shall make you a meal for some savage cannibal! Hahahahaha! Hahahahahaha! Hahaha! Haha!" Izuka swung his arms several times, with each motion being mirrored by a thick cable that he seemed to be controlling.
Cerebra was hit many times, but her body always revived itself slowly.
One cable came for her face, so she cut off part of it as it moved. In reaction, Izuka smiled. The section of cable that was removed unraveled itself, into many strands of thin metal. Each strand flew at Cerebra at extreme speeds. The thin pieces cut her body in various places. Another full cable swept her from her feet before she could react fully. After being knocked to the floor, all three cables flew vertically down on her, going straight through her body and going on to damaging the ground.
"Haha. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!! C'mon, its like you're not even trying! You want me to kill you? Then get up and fight!!" Unsettling amounts of blood spewed from Cerebra after Izuka removed the cables. Even after a few seconds, the amount of blood did not decrease.
"Can you........not regenerate?"

"...............excessive damage has rendered body........irreparable.............suggest.........termination........." A clump of blood splattered from her mouth. No, it looked more like a kind of oil. Even the murderous personality watching her became unsettled at this sight.
"Eh? That'll be no good. Without you, I can't have fun with anyone."
"The consciousness........is saved to a remote core.........many other bodies are available..........for the entity 'Cerebra'."
"No. I don't know what they did to you, but moving a consciousness from body to body is just wrong. So, don't die on me you fucking bitch!"
"Your words.......make no sense. Your psychopathic aggression.......does not match your words........."
"Whatever." Izuka casually walked over to the collapsed body, still with blood leaking from his own wounds.
He raised his arms into the air, and following suit, two of the cables wrapped themselves around Cerebra's wrists and raised themselves up, holding her up as though she were crucified.
Izuka smiled a little, then made a strange gesture with his right hand. The remaining cable wrapped itself tightly around her waist, applying pressure to the wound. Almost instantly, the bleeding stopped.
"Why.........would you.............?"
"What just happened was boring. I want you to be someone I can really have fun with, and for that, I need you alive. So, don't die yet." He released her. After that, he ignored her completely. "Hehehe......." He laughed to himself a little.
Suddenly, a large amount of blood came from his mouth. "Shit. Looks like the damage is catching up to me." He licked the blood from around his lips and brushed the dirt from his hands. "Well, I don't want to make Mr serious seem like a villain, so I should help out a little before I go back." He turned back to the eye with unsteady footing. With a motion like he was driving a car, the wheel turned clockwise, stopping every time a car reached the ground.
"Tsubachi Izuka............such an amazing person.........." Cerebra picked herself up from the ground. "I will become stronger. So, don't you die either."

After so long, Izuka ran over to a certain person. It was Shifune Marika, the girl he had saved when the wheel first fell.
She was unconscious, but had been brought to safety by whoever was in the car Izuka left her in.
He tightly held his temples. He had suppressed his psychotic conscience, but it had put a great pressure on his mind.
"M-Marika-chan, are you okay?"
"Mmmm.........." She grumbled. It was more like she was asleep.
She lazily opened her eyes, and tears welled up once she saw Izuka's face.
"T-Tsubachi-kun! Please, don't let me fall!" She desperately clung onto him, screaming out random things. "Tsubachi-kun, no, Izuka-kun! Don't........ Don't leave me..........."
".....Marika-chan, what are you talking about?"
"!?" Izuka's words woke her up fully; her eyes widening in realisation of what she was doing. She quickly detached her herself from him, but then shuddered when she saw his arm, abdomen and face. Bu the true concern was his chest. He was cut, beaten, and bleeding badly.
"I-Izuka-kun! We need to get you to a hospital!"
"No. A regular hospital won't be able to do anything." He seemed troubled about something. "Marika-chan, can you help me get somewhere? It's not far from here."
"Eh!? But what about your injuries!?"
"The people there can help. Please, Marika-chan. Help me." He looked straight into her eyes. He had a serious look that she had never seen before.
She decided to trust him.
She had no idea where he wanted to go, but she decided to lend him her shoulder and aid him to that place.
For the mean time, she thought it best not to ask what had happened with the eye, and how Izuka saved everyone. She really did not want to know who did this to him.
For now, she would be by his side, for this was the first time he had said he really needed her.
And this made her happy.
"Izuka-kun."
"?"
"Thank you for saving me. I don't know how you did it, but you saved me, and everyone else. Thank you." They both smiled at each other and walked to their destination.
