Chilled's perspective

I took a deep breath and rang the doorbell. A few moments later I heard loud footsteps coming closer. The door was opened and I smiled as Amber welcomed me in with a nod. I stepped inside and took a look around her house. It was fairly big and beautifully decorated. Clean, white walls with colorful paintings thoughtfully hung up every few meters. "Your house looks amazing", I murmured, my right hand gliding over the dark brown dresser which was placed against the wall in the hallway.

"Thank you, Anthony", Amber giggled and proceeded to walk towards the staircase. I followed her, still eyeing the beauty of her parents' house. She lived here with them, but they were out for the day. Good for us, we could talk as loudly as we wanted to and nobody would hear. Amber led me into her room, which was as gorgeous as the rest of the house. A big, tidy room with a fairly large bed and a dark brown desk. I walked up to it and looked at the photos placed on it. One of them showed her with her parents, two really friendly-looking people. They knew about Amber's sexual orientation, so it was even better they weren't at home, otherwise things would possibly get awkward if they walked in on us practising our kisses. The second picture was of her and her two best friends. I didn't pay much attention to it cause my eyes had caught onto the third and last picture frame on her desk. It contained a black and white photograph of her and another girl holding hands. I smiled.

"Is that your girlfriend?", I asked her, still examining the picture.

"On and off girlfriend", Amber corrected me with a chuckle, "Remember that party we both attended? I was actually already seeing her back then and wanted to use you to make her jealous. We argue a lot but after we've both cooled down we're madly in love again".

I smirked and backed away from her desk, now facing my pretend-girlfriend. "I guess that's about what my relationship with Steven is, except that we're not official...", I muttered, thinking back to what had happened this morning.

"You wanna talk to me about something?", Amber questioned and sat down on her bed, indicating me to do the same. I sighed and joined her on her huge bed.

"Well, after you left yesterday I ran into him", I began, "We had a little fight after I told him I had a girlfriend but I couldn't stand being away from him so I walked back and kissed him. And told him we couldn't do that again right afterwards". I frowned and Amber held onto my hands, slightly squeezing them to show her support. "I didn't have anywhere to go though cause I had told my parents that I'd be staying at your place but I didn't want to bother you with that too. Steven then offered me to sleep over at his place. He had a bad dream that night and I had to calm him down. We fell asleep together on the couch and this morning as I was trying to find us something to eat he just kissed me. I tried to resist but I eventually gave up and one thing let to another and we ended up kinda having sex. He broke it off though cause my 'girlfriend' came to his mind again. That's when he kicked me out or I left or whatever".

"You really do ruin everything, don't you?", Amber smirked and I whined in response. "I'm sorry, Anthony but you have to admit that this is all kind of your fault. It's not gonna get better unless you attempt to make it better. That's what I'm doing with Alex. It definitely gets better if you atleast try".

I sighed. "You're probably right", I murmured, "Thanks a lot, Amber. You're a real sweetheart, do you know that?".

The brunette girl giggled. "So, shall we get down to business then?", she chuckled and stretched out her arms.

I nodded. "Let's get it over with", I joined her chuckle, "Tell me how to handle a girlfriend".

"You know what might help?", Amber said, "Try pretending I'm Steven. Maybe that'll make it easier. And I'll just pretend you're Alex. You wanna try it?".
