Chilled's perspective

"You can't carry him! Your shoulder isn't stable enough!", Oliver yelped as I slipped my arm out of the shoulder sling, dropped it on the floor, and wrapped both of my arms around Ze's wet body.

"My shoulder is the last thing I care about right now", I growled and lifted the unconcious man up while I saw Oliver picking up my shoulder sling out of the corner of my eyes.

Almost unbearable pain tore at my shoulder, but I ignored it as much as I possibly could. I had to get Ze inside, quickly. My heart had stopped for what had felt like an eternity as I had seen him lying on the floor, his clothes and hair soaking wet, his phone completely shattered just a meter away from him. I had no idea what had happened, but as far as I could see he didn't have any serious injuries. He was barely breathing and his body was already worringly cold. Oliver hurried up before me and opened the door so I could pass without having to stop. I brought Ze into the living room and sat down with him on my lap, pulling up all of the blankets lying on the couch and covering him with them. He had to get warm as fast as possible. As his weight wasn't tearing at my shoulder anymore I exhaled loudly and leaned back, my face twisted in pain.

"Get the water boiler on", I ordered Oliver, "There's a hot water bottle somewhere in the kitchen, if you could get that ready and bring it over".

"I'm on it", the blonde guy called and hurried to get his job done.

I glanced back down to Ze, his mouth was slightly open. I started to rub his body dry under the blankets. We should probably have called for an ambulance, but with the shooting at the mall and the sudden rain as well as general traffic, the ambulance wouldn't be here for long. The best thing we could do was get Ze dry and warm and hope for the best. I didn't even notice the tears running down my face until one of them dropped onto the blankets. I wiped my face dry and concentrated on Ze again. Steps came closer and Oliver held out the hot water bottle, wrapped in a towel so it wasn't as extremely hot as it always was. I gently held it against Ze's cold body and began rocking him back and forth like a baby.

"Is there anything else I can do?", Oliver asked quietly, "Are you sure we shouldn't call for an ambulance?"

"There's nothing more we can do", I muttered, "And I don't think they'll be able to do anything else than we're doing either. We're just gonna have to wait and hope he wakes up soon".

I was still surprisingly calm. I probably always was in situations like this one. Panicking or breaking down wouldn't help anyone, not me, not Oliver, and especially not Ze. I had to stay focused and sane if I wanted to help him. He was slowly warming up now, but he was still unconcious. He'd stay that way for a a while for sure. Whatever happened, he was going to recover sooner or later.

"How's your shoulder doing?", Oliver murmured, "Should I help you get it fixed up again?".

"That would be very nice", I replied and moved Ze further down a bit to make space, "I just need an ice pack, my meds are probably still here with Ze".

Oliver nodded and returned to the kitchen while I searched Ze's pockets for my meds. He probably wouldn't have given me any more, considering this would be my fifth pill - pain killers only, my regular meds excluded. But now that I had put weight on my shoulder again which was supposed to be resting for atleast until the end of the week, I was in desperate need of something that would stop the pain that had returned. I found the little package quickly, took out another pill and swallowed it, this time without water since I didn't want to leave Ze alone, not even for a second. Oliver got back with the ice pack and hesitated. I'd have to take my clothes off first, which was going to be a bit of a hassle. I gently rested Ze's head on a pillow and tried to free myself from my jacket.
