Chapter 17: Comfortable

You left the bathroom and went out into the hall and didn't see Eren anywhere. You heard something in the kitchen, so you followed the sound and found him making sandwiches.

"You'd make a good housewife, doing the laundry and the cooking like this." you said as you went up beside him and clung onto his arm.

"Well I decided that I should probably take good care of the girl who let me undress her earlier." he said, trying to get a reaction from you.

"Oh shut up about it already. Don't act like you weren't into it too, grabbing onto my thighs like that and everything." you said as you stepped back and jokingly crossed your arms like you were offended.

"Ooookayyyyy I think it's time for someone to go to bed." He picked you up and took you to one of the bedrooms and gently but also playfully dropped you onto the bed. "Stay here."

You followed his order and stayed in the bed for just a minute until he came into the room with the ham and cheese sandwiches he made. "Here." he said as he handed you a sandwich and sat under the covers next to you in the bed. "Wanna watch something?"

"Sure. I don't care what since I'll probably fall asleep as soon as I'm done eating."

"Ok I'll just pick something random on Netflix. But when will you have to go back to the house you're supposed to be staying at?"

"It's only 2:30 right now. I have an alarm set for 5am. Nobody in the house will be up at that time yet so I'm good. It's not hard to sneak back in so we have plenty of time." you said while you took a bite of your sandwich.

"Ok cool. When I finish my sandwich I'm gonna get in the shower and then I'll join you and go to sleep." he said while he flipped through netflix on the tv in front of you. The room that you were in was somewhat small and had white walls and light wooded floors. The bed was a queen size and had nice sheets and a warm comforter. There wasn't really any decoration on the walls or anything but it still felt nice. You wished that you could just stay in that house the entire trip and not have to keep going back to the other crowded one.

After a few minutes you finished your sandwich and settled into the bed. Eren finished his and went to the bathroom with a change of clothes and took a shower. After a he was gone for a little bit, you heard the washing machine stop so you put your stuff in the dryer and set it for 20 minutes so you would have your own dry clothes before you went to sleep.

You heard the shower turn off and shortly after, Eren came into the bedroom with shorts on and no shirt. His skin was dewy from the shower and he had his towel wrapped around his neck. "Did you put your stuff in the dryer?"

"Yeah it'll be done in a minute then we can go to sleep." you said as your eyes quickly scanned his body.

"Okay then I'll wait for it to be done and bring your stuff to you." he said while he sat his towel down and sat on the edge of the bed and watched the tv.

Your clothes had finished drying so you finally put them on. You and Eren were laying in bed with the tv off so that you could go to sleep.

"Goodnight, y/n. Thank you for a good time. And I'm not just talking about when we were outside earlier. I'm also talking about every other time we've been together. I really like being around you and I hope you know that." Eren said as he looked you. The room was dark but you could see his eyes looking into yours as you laid beside him.

"I really like being around you too. I think it's safe to say that we're both enjoying each other. I mean we just met a few days ago, but we're already comfortable with each other and I'm really grateful. Anyways, night Eren." Before he could say anything in response, you rolled over with your back to him. He put his arm around your waist and pulled you closer to him so that you could feel his shirtless, toned body press against your back. Your legs comfortably tangled up with his as you both settled in. You felt him bring his head closer to the back of your neck and he gently pressed his lips behind your ear and kissed you. You felt your face get a little hot and you started smiling. You grabbed onto his hand that was draped over your abdomen and held onto it. Neither of you said anything else because there wasn't anything else to say. It was already obvious in your actions what you both felt.
