Chapter 8: New

After Eren left, you quickly looked over to where the rest of your group was to see what Armin was doing. It looked like he was asleep on his on his towel. It made you really sad that you weren't spending time with him. You thought that you would try to talk to him later that evening at dinner.

You laid down on your towel and after around 45 minutes or so, you heard something land in the sand near you. You lifted your head and sure enough, it was a football. You quickly got up and grabbed it and started walking over to where Eren and his friends were. That way, you had an excuse for going over there if you teacher yelled at you about it.

"Thanks for bringing our ball back. I 'accidentally' threw it too far." Eren said as he smiled at you as he took the ball from your hand. "Anyways we have to make this quick, so let me introduce you to everyone. This is Connie, Jean, and Sasha." he said as he pointed at each of them. They all smiled and waved as he said their names. They all seemed super nice and it made you feel really comfortable and safe.

"Are you coming to hang out at the house tonight?!" Sasha said as she came up to you and grabbed your shoulders.

"Yeah I think I will!" you said as you smiled at her. All of your concerns were dismissed as soon as you met them. You could already tell that they were people you could trust and feel comfortable with.

"Yay! There's plenty of snacks there so you better come on an empty stomach!" Sasha yelled.

"Sasha, please don't scare y/n away with your food obsession." Connie said as he rolled his eyes.

"Hey I just want her to know that she'll never be hungry when she's with me!" Sasha said as she hit Connie in the side.

"OW!" Connie said as he started to pick Sasha up to throw her in the water.

"Guys knock it off. Both of you are going to scare her off if you keep this up." Eren said as he covered his eyes with his hand.

The longer you stood there, the more they kept throwing insults at each other.

"Uhh I think that I should get going now.... it's been nice meeting you though!" you said as you started backing away from all the chaos that had just unfolded in the span of a minute.

"Bye! Sasha yelled from the ocean.

"Bye!!" you replied as you kept walking.

"Wait! I'll walk back over with you." Eren said as he caught up to you.

"That was... interesting." you said with a kind of surprised expression.

"Yeah... sorry about them. I promise they're really fun to be around." Eren said as he put his hand on the back of his neck and laughed a little.

You got back to your towel and you both sat down.

"What did you really think about them?" he asked in a way that showed that he actually cared.

"They seem really fun! A lot more exciting than most of my classmates. I think I'd have a good time with them." You were smiling really big and you felt really excited to meet people that were so care free.

"I'm really glad to hear that especially after that mess." he said while laughing.

"Class it's time for lunch. If you want a sandwich, go into your designated house and make one yourself. It will be self serve so that everyone can get what they want!" you heard the teacher yell from a little ways away.

"Oh I better go then so that you can eat. It's been nice talking to you though. Tonight we can talk about the details of how you're going to get to where I'm staying. That is, if you don't leave me on delivered again." he said with a smile as he stood up.

"Ok ok sounds good. And I promise I'll answer you." you said as you also got up.

"See you later."

"See ya."
