"And who might you be?" Aro cocked an eyebrow to the younger vampire before him.

Many vampires came and visited the Volturi as the centuries passed. He was a busy man and often dealt with trivial matters; this visit for one. Most who would were tired of the life they led and came to beg for their sweet release of the eternity they were damned with. Most looked hopeless, but not this one Aro noticed. There was a hopeful look in his eyes, one filled with hunger and wonderment. Just like the one who had just came by about two weeks ago. He was intrigued by his character.

"Ainsley, good sir." The blond male bowed as he introduced himself. He was clad in high end fabrics, ones only noblemen were granted to wear. "Ainsley Remington." There was a slight accent to his voice that he couldn't place. "I've heard many wonderful things about your coven." He beamed with a bright, white smile.

"So you would know that we at the Volturi don't give second chances." Caius remarked as he had an uneasy feeling about the blond that stood before there. There was something he didn't like about the male.

"Ah yes," Ainsley dared step closer to the leader of the trio and grabbed his hand. "as well as the amazing powers you hold." Aro peered into the mind of the vampire and watched his entire life flash before his eyes as he delved into the memories of this stranger.

"What... a tragedy." Aro spoke after they released their grip. "But we had nothing to do with it. Why bother with us then?"

"Oh no sir. I bare no ill will towards the Volturi. May-haps you could think of this as an golden opportunity." Ainsely deflected with a coy smirk on his face. "I offer you my services in exchange room and board."

"What services could you possibly provide us." Caius spat with acid laced in his voice at him.

"As you can tell, I am a natural at attracting anyone. I could help recruit new guards for your bidding or more delicious meals for the lot of us to enjoy without a hitch."

There was an unreadable look on Aro's face at the proposition he had ordered. It was harder to gather people at the moment without many suspecting eyes and ears. Maybe having the extra hand would help. Besides, Chelsea had been gone recruiting herself so there was a need for an extra hand.

"Welcome." Aro greeted him into his coven after much consideration.

"He introduced himself as Ansley the first time I met him." Aro began with a nostalgic look on his face.

"He and Carlisle both came to spend some time with the Volturi despite never meeting each other until then. They grew to become very dear friends to me. Carlisle for his adamant ways while Ansley also held his virtues." There was a small smile that crept up on his face as he laid himself across the comfort of his bed. It didn't matter my own discomfort as I awkwardly sat on a velvet chair across from him. His wife had just stepped out and the one left in his chambers with us was Demetri. The man whose rob I had taken for myself. "At first, I welcomed Ansley with open arms... until his true motives were revealed..."
