He also met a girl named Kuya while saving her from some thugs. She was very grateful to our Violet demon and henceforth, decided to invite him over for dinner. The dinner went well for our young hero, even after Kuya tried her hand at a romantic advancement towards him. Most recently our avatar has engaged in a battle against 5 tough and well armed thugs. Conflicting Feelings

Korra had just watched as Sojo kicked the leader of the group that attacked her. It seemed just like a simple kick, but it sent the leader back into his men, knocking some of them down. Sojo then cracked his neck and stepped closer to them.
"Let the beat down commence." Sojo said in a cocky manner. Korra then looked to the left side of his waist and saw that he had a sword.
"Get him!" The leader shouted to his group. The expression on Sojo's face changed to one of pure seriousness as he prepared himself.
"I've got this punk, don't worry." The darker skinned man with the oversized flail said while stepping up with the metal ball in his hand. All the sudden, Sojo disappeared with a flash and Korra saw him appear in front of the man with the flail, as he then threw a punch, which went right through the mans metal ball, destroying it to bits as his fist then connected with the mans stomach, causing him to fly back and crash into a nearby wall, destroying some of it in the process.
"Woah! How'd he do that?" Korra thought with pure amazement. The guy with the thin sword then came at Sojo from the left while the guy with the axe came at him from the right. Sojo then spun around and kicked the thinner guy away before dodging the axe guys downward attack. He then open palm struck the axe guy upwards in the jaw, knocking him on his ass and rendering him unconscious.
"I don't understand. He's fighting them like he's just warming up. And he's already knocked out 3 of them." Korra thought.
"You bastard!" The guy with the daggers shouted before he started throwing them at Sojo. Sojo smugly grinned and opened his palm, creating a wall of purple fire in front of him, blocking all of the daggers.
"What the, you're a bender?" The dagger guy asked in shock.
"Surprise." Sojo replied before using his bending to propel himself forward and knee the dagger guy in the face, knocking him out cold.
"He's amazing!" Korra thought, dazzled beyond belief. Unbeknownst to her, while she was focused on Sojo, the leader was heading her way with his sword ready to attack. Korra took notice and readied herself, but not before Sojo appeared in front of him as the leader swung downwards to her. Sojo then unsheathed his blade and blocked the leaders attack with it from behind his back.
"What?!" The leader shouted in disbelief. Sojo then looked up to Korra, mere inches from her face.
"Hey." He greeted her.
"H-hi." Korra stuttered back, a small blush appearing on her cheeks.
"I'm Sojo. I'm new to the city." He said with a cheeky grin.
"I'm Korra, the Avatar. S-same here." Korra nervously replied.
"I know. Settling in well?" He asked her.
"I uhh." She replied before he cut her off.
"Hold that thought." Sojo said before spinning around and striking his blade against the leaders, knocking him back a decent ways.
"Gaahh!" The leader groaned from the force of Sojo's swing.
"You're dead!" The leader shouted while charging at Sojo with his sword. Sojo grinned before charging back with his blade. Then what happened next, surprised Korra. Sojo thrusted his blade into the leaders sword, snapping it in two.
"N-no way." The leader commented in pure disbelief.
"Sorry pall, you lose." Sojo replied before wrapping his blade in purple fire and swinging his sword at the leader. This sent a wave of purple flames towards the leader and sent him flying back.
"Ahhhhh!" The leader shouted before he crashed into the same wall that Sojo sent the guy with the flail into. The leader tried getting up but collapsed to the ground, unconscious. Sojo then sheathed his sword and turned to Korra.
"So, what were you saying?" He asked with a goofy grin. Korra just stared at him with pure amazement.
"T-that... was awesome!" Korra shouted with astonishment.
"You were like this, and that, and this, and some of this!" She exclaimed while throwing punches and pretend sword slashes. Sojo laughed in response.
"Glad I could put on a good show for you." He replied with a goofy smile, while scratching the back of his head. Which Korra thought was super cute.
"He's uhh... kinda cute. Now that I get a good look at him." She thought.
"But you know, I could've handled them." Korra said while placing a hand on her hip.
"Oh, uhh. Hey I didn't say you couldn't. I just uhh... wanted to help." He frantically replied, waving his hand in defense. Korra giggled before responding.
"Calm down, I appreciate it." She replied before clenching her abdomen in slight pain.
"Who, hey. Take it it easy. That guy got you pretty good. You alright?" He asked with visible worry, which made Korra blush.
"Y-yeah, just stings a little. I'll be fine." She responded with a smile.
"Okay, good." He replied with a smile, as well as a blush. Korra couldn't help but think he was really cute with the way he smiled. She then knocked herself out of her thoughts when she heard a screech from above. Korra then saw a hawk fly down and land on Sojo's shoulder.
"You've already met, Nari here. She's been a pretty uncooperative bird today." Sojo remarked, glaring at Nari. Nari then pecked his head a few times.
"Ow, stop that!" Sojo shouted to Nari. Korra giggled in response before whistling for Naga.
"Naga! Come on back, girl!" She shouted to her. Korra then watched as Naga ran around a corner and to her side.
"This here is my polar bear dog, Naga." Korra said to Sojo while patting Naga's head. Sojo smiled, walked up to Naga, and scratched behind her ear.
"Good to meet you, Naga. You're a big girl aren't ya?" Sojo remarked before Naga licked his face, earning a chuckle from him.
"Well, it's good to meet you, Nari." Korra said while scratching Nari under her beak. She fluttered her feathers in response, enjoying her scratches. Naga then growled at Nari, earning a threatening screech back from Nari.
"Naga! Down girl, be nice." Korra commanded to Naga.
"Nari, behave. You're already on thin ice right now." Sojo said to Nari. They both stopped in response.
"I think they like each other." Sojo sarcastically chuckled. Korra giggled in response before speaking.
"By the way, what was that ability you used earlier? When you trapped them. I've never seen anything like it. Also, how are you bending purple fire?" Korra asked him.
"I uhhh... don't exactly know, myself. My fire has always been purple. But that ability I used is called Fūjikome. It's an ability that traps anyone I chose in a ball of fire. It's perfectly harmless on the inside, but if they try and escape, well... they shouldn't try and escape." He replied.
"Oh. Well, I think it's super cool." Korra said.
"Hehe, thanks!" He replied, scratching the back of his head again.
"Why is it so cute when he does that?" Korra thought.
"So, uhh... I heard you're staying with councilman Tenzin to master airbending." Sojo said, trying to keep the conversation going.
"Yeah! Although, it's not really going the way I want it too." Korra explained.
"How so?" He asked.
"Well, I can't create even the smallest gust of wind. I don't know why, but I can't Airbend for the life of me." Korra explained with disappointment.
"Hey, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it soon. I mean, you're the avatar. Airbending is in your nature, along with all the other elements. It'll just take time." He assured her. Korra just sighed in response before speaking.
"I know. Tenzin said something similar. I know he means well, but I feel like his teachings aren't working for me." Korra explained.
"That very well may be the case. The way I saw you fighting today, was unlike anything I've read up on about the air nomads." Sojo responded.
"What are you saying?" Korra asked.
"Well, your movements, were kinda ungraceful and rough. You move too stiffly. The complete opposite of an airbender." He explained as politely as he could.
"Hey! My movements are just fine!" Korra responded feeling a little offended.
"Hey, I didn't say they weren't. Just... in airbending standards, they don't fit the bill. I'm just saying, you need to learn to adapt to a new style of fighting, as well as a new element. Take for instance, Fire Lord Zuko adapted the other bending styles into his own. In effect, obtaining a better understanding of his own element, as well as the others. So, if you try adapting the airbending style into the elements you already know, you could achieve a better understanding of airbending itself. You understand?" He explained.
"I-." Korra said before cutting herself off, realizing that he was right.
"That's genius! You're pretty smart, Sojo. Sorry I lashed out. I just... I don't entirely know what I'm doing, being the avatar and all." Korra explained.
"Hey, no worries. It must be tough being the avatar. Also, sorry about the other day. When I was watching your speech from the rooftop. I just didn't want to get in the middle of that crowd. Sorry if it seemed like I was stalking you." Sojo apologized with a bow.
"Oh! It's no problem, really. I didn't think you were stalking me or anything." Korra replied, waving her hands in reassurance.
She then realized how long she's been out and that she were probably late for her next training session.
"Crap! I totally have been out for too long. I'm supposed to be back on the island training. I'll catch you later, Sojo. It was good meeting you." Korra said while hopping on Naga.
"You too. I hope I see you again soon." He replied with a cheeky smile, waving goodbye. Korra blushed before responding.
"Y-yeah! Me too." She replied before riding off on Naga.
"Man. He was something else. I really hope I run into him again soon." Korra thought.
