Chapter: 1 Enter the Demon

Title Sequence
Long ago, before the time of the avatar. Two deities known as Izanami and Izanagi, gave birth to a little girl whom which they named, Amaterasu. They saw great power and potential within her. Potential to rule over their realm. They trained her, cared for her, loved her. But, a certain god of destructive fire known as Kagutsuchi, 'Amaterasu's older brother' had different plans for her. He planned to take her power for his own and destroy the other gods, becoming the ruler of all the realms. Izanami and Izanagi 'the primordial gods of creation' foresaw their sons evil plan. Henceforth, they forged a blade they later named the totsuga blade and imbued it with their power. The blade was then used to seal the evil deity away in the underworld known as Yomi. Many years have passed since the sealing of Kagutsuchi, and Amaterasu was ready to begin her duties as a goddess. Her parents passed the totsuga blade down to her and she was given the title of Sun. Being the goddess of the sun, she became the representation of the rising of the sun, illuminating all things. Though, she did not want this life. She found no joy in being a deity, so she fled to the mortal realm to try and start a new life. She masked her presence from the gods as to become undetectable by them. Thousands of years have passed since then, and she was witness to the start of the Avatar cycle. She lived through many avatars, and even helped some of them on their paths. Eventually, living through Avatar Aang's life as well. Later on after, she met a human male firebender named Jaoka. The two fell in love and started their life together, eventually having a child of their own. That child's name, was Sojo. She loved the boy more than anything and swore to protect him at all costs. But on the day of his birth, Izanami and Izanagi sensed the boys hidden power and ventured to the mortal realm where they found their daughter and forced her to return to the realm of the gods. Amaterasu had no choice but to leave her husband and son. She left the totsuga blade with him as he would need it in his future. The boy was left with Jaoka and was cared for and loved by him. Jaoka watched as the boy grew and saw his latent potential come to fruition. He began firebending at the young age of 4. But much to his fathers surprise, the boys flames were purple. Later on in his life, he became a firebending master at the age of 13. He showed such prowess with his bending, that the white lotus came to his father and attempted to persuade him to let them take custody of the boy so that he may potentially assist the Avater. Sojo denied their request, much to his father's surprise. A year later, the boy left his father and set off on his own path. He faced many struggles on his path, leading him to many nations. During his travels he assisted people that were in need, and destroyed those who were irredeemable. His reputation eventually earned him a few bounties and the title 'The Violet Demon'. The boy traveled for 4 long year's until happening upon the large Republic City. There he decided to settle down for a bit and check out the city before venturing off again. Unbeknownst to him, he would later find himself meeting the avatar, and fulfilling what the white lotus wanted, by assisting her on her path as the Avater. A great evil is returning though, in the form of Kagutsuchi. With the gods unwilling to interfere in mortal affairs, it is up to Sojo and the Avatar to put a stop to Kagutsuchi, once and for all.

Enter The Demon

Republic city. A bustling giant with many businesses and even more buildings. The people there were either poor, middle class, or filthy rich, just like any large city. There was currently conflict and mayhem in the city due to a group of non benders known as the equalists. Our main protagonist, Sojo, approaches the city 'unbeknownst to him' with nothing but his travel pack, his canteen, the clothes on his back, and his sword. As well as his companion perched on his shoulder.

"There's gotta be something in this direction. All I've seen so far is open plains and an occasional weirdo here and there." Sojo remarked to himself, continuing to walk in the same direction.
"Think we'll find something to eat soon, Nari?" Sojo asked his messenger hawk. Nari then shrieked back to him.
"Ugh, I hope not. We've already eaten that 6 times this week." Sojo responded to Nari.
