Urokodaki gave shelter to the girl who had left behind everything she had, she lost her beloved sister by running away from the tyranny of the father and his Twelve Kizuki demons who came to hurt the young demon because of her beliefs.
Urokodaki kept writing letters and using a crow to send them off. Nailee was curious but she never wanted to pry into his business, She became close with the man who was known as Urokodaki to her.
In a way you could say he became a father figure for her. She met some of his older friends and companions such as Giyuu Tomioka...
Although she couldn't help herself but get a little crush on the stoic boy which he noticed and was slightly annoyed by since she would never leave his side whenever he was around.
Usually she would hug him and he'd get a blush, it was clear she had a small crush on the older guy and Giyuu didn't know how to react to that so he tried to awkwardly push her away.
One day Mr.Urokodaki got a crow, 'Perhaps it's a response from whoever he has been sending crows to' Nailee thought to herself. Urokodaki had learned to look at the girl as his own, and became Nailee's father figure.
Nailee wasn't useless, often she was seen cleaning the small cottage or cooking for Urokodaki, or gathering ingredients and taking care of everything around the small house.
It came with a big surprise to see that Nailee could walk on daylight which is something her own father couldn't do.
A small gift bestowed upon her by her mother. She spent all the time reciting and learning spells from her mothers books just so she could protect herself more. While she was reciting a spell Urokodaki came to her telling her that he has to go see some people.
"I'll be away for a while." He said in his calm but deep voice. "When will you be back?" She asked the old man. "Maybe tomorrow, maybe tonight. Please take care of yourself, Nailee." Urokodaki said in his calm voice once again.
It was the morning, Nailee would usually try and practice spells before she would clean the small cottage and prepare breakfast for the old man. It became monotonous, honestly.
The day passed, it was a new day and still no sign of Urokodaki, Nailee trusted that he'd comeback alive. She believed in that.
Later that day, when nighttime was emerging, Urokodaki came back with a boy. Nailee was sweeping when she heard muttering outside and when she ran outside and hug Urokodaki
Revealing herself to the boy and the Urokodaki her eyes sparked joy. They all went inside the cottage and Nailee was happy that Urokodaki finally made it back.
What made her gasp was the fact that the boy who seemed around her age had a bamboo casket that carried a girl there, which she could sense was a demon.
Nailee and the demon girl looked at each other before the demon girl started to feel sleepy. Nailee gasped as she fell and tried to catch her but her brother was quicker.
Nailee quickly pulled out a futon for the girl and set it up, Urokodaki placed her there and she closed the blinds and carpets so that sunlight won't emerge and burn her. After that was done she went to meet the boy.
