17 - Wisteria Family Crest

At night they reached a building. "A wisteria family crest..." Tanjiro said, His crow then cawed.

"Rest time! Rest time!" The crow said.
"Why won't this thing just shut up for once?!" Nailee yelled.

"You sure it's okay to rest?" Tanjiro asked the crow. All the crow replied with was "Ke-ke-ke."

"Ke-ke-ke?" Tanjiro repeated. That's when Inosuke grabbed the crow by it's rectrices and said "Let's eat this thing."

"What?!" is all the crow could say. Suddenly Nailee realized that the only one without any bird is Inosuke and assumed the worst.

"Have you ever noticed how Inosuke doesn't have a crow or any type of bird?" Nailee whispered to Zenitsu. "I don't even want to know what he did to it." He whispered back trembling.

Suddenly the door to the Wisteria Family Crest opened revealing an elderly woman. "A MONSTER!" Zenitsu shouted, after that he got hit by Nailee in the back of his head.

"Who the hell are you?" Inosuke asked as he approached the old lady. "I see you're a demon hunter." The old lady said slightly bowing down. "You look pretty weak!" Inosuke said. "INOSUKE?!" Nailee yelled. "Hey!" Tanjiro yelled at Inosuke.

The old lady let us come in, Zenitsu was right when he said that she sure walks fast for someone of her age. "This is where you'll be staying." She said to the boys. The kind old lady gave them a change of clothes, and a meal.

Zenitsu proceeded to call the old lady a 'monster' which resulted to Nailee and Tanjiro to hit him on his head.

The boys sat down to eat and had changed into the kimonos the crest provided. Nailee didn't want anything. Instead of staying there she went outside and sat down in the ledge of the crest building.

She curled up to a ball and held her legs with her hands and put her head on her knees.

'According from what that crow told us, the family that owns this place was saved from demons by demon slayers, which is why they treat them for free. For me to be here feels... Wrong.' Nailee removed her head from her knees and looked over at the entrance.

'Maybe I should leave? I'm sure I can find shelter somewhere.' She thought to herself.

She could hear Inosuke from inside eating like... Like a pig. But she didn't care, a breeze flew past by her and made her hair flow in it.

A hand on her shoulder set her free from her thoughts, she turned her head and saw the old lady from before with a big smile which Nailee returned.

She had a neatly folded kimono on her other hand. "A young and beautiful girl like you, deserves to wear the most beautiful kimonos." The old lady said and handed her the white kimono.

It seemed beautiful, and was very soft and pleasant to touch. Nailee smiled at the old lady who started to walk. "Now please follow me, I'll show you your room so you can change." She said.

Nailee followed her with the kimono on her hands. They stopped at a room which already had a futon set up. "Feel free to change." The old lady said as Nailee walked in. "I'll come back later." She said before she left.

Nailee closed the door and started to get changed. When she unfolded the kimono a necklace with three wisteria petals fell from
it. She picked it up and gasped at it before she put it on.

She also noticed a hair ornament that was a large wisteria flower fell from there. 'They sure know how to make a girl happy.' Nailee thought to herself with a smile.

Once she put the kimono on she took a large string of her hair and tied it up in a high ponytail. She clipped the large wisteria hair ornament on and it felt surprisingly light on her head.
