25 - The Immortal Crown 1/2

It's been a week since they've met the Hashira. The twins had met the so called 'Butterfly girls.' They've met Kanao from Natagumo Mountain where she had more to say to them than ever.

They've also met Aoi and her strict behavior but she was sweet to them, alongside they've met the three little girls that reside in the mansion.

Naigee disliked them all, meanwhile Nailee formed friendships with the Insect Hashira, and the girls there as well.

Naigee had her troubles with the residents of the Butterfly Mansion, she either thought they're annoying or just stupid. However Nailee did realize that she got quite the crush on Shinobu and teased her for it.

They've met the Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji as well. She was quite surprised to see the twins be like any other human, be kind and gentle and loving. She absolutely adored them.

The three boys had started the so called 'Rehabilitation training.' They would look almost dead every time they came back from there while Nailee waited for them in the hospital room to just talk to them.

But she took the hint and let them rest because whatever Shinobu Kocho was dishing them on the training must be very draining.

The twins were in their room, Naigee glancing over the window. The afternoon sun hitting her face making it shine, Nailee looked at her with a smile and realized she had something in mind. It was a quite unusual sight to see her sister be sad, especially since she's always happy and making jokes.

Nailee approached her sister and put her hand on Naigee's shoulder. "Is something wrong?" Nailee asked her with a smile.

Naigee looked up to her sister and noticed her warm smile, she sighed before she turned her head over at the window once again.

"No it's just..." Naigee stopped her words, Nailee's warm smile slowly turned into a frown by seeing her sister like that. "You can always talk to me." Nailee said and hugged her sister tightly.

"I remember where I have seen her before." Naigee whispered, Nailee shot up from the hug. "Who?" She asked her sister in a worried expression.

"Shinobu." Naigee replied. "I was there when her sister died. Hiding in the shadows while Douma killed her." Naigee let out a tear. "I saw Shinobu hold her sister, I could've stopped Douma but I was so scared father would then..."

Nailee knew what her sister wanted to say.
'be disappointed in me.' Nailee looked up at her sister and cupped her face with both hands and made Naigee face her.

Nailee wiped her tear away, she knew that all the sadness her sister had piled up and eventually overflowed.

"When I took a good look at her haori... It all came back to me. The fight, Shinobu, the Flower Hashira... I- I wanted to help her defeat Douma instead I hid in the shadows, like he told me to, like a coward." Naigee said as she put her hands over her sister's wrists.

"It's okay, it's not your fault. I understand why you didn't act even though your mind told you to." Nailee tried to comfort her sister.

Naigee hugged Nailee and sobbed on her shoulder for her past mistakes.

"Am I a bad person for that?" Naigee sobbed on her sister's shoulder.

"Absolutely not." Nailee said as she put a hand behind her head. A crow landed on the window and picked on it, Nailee smiled at it before opening the window to let it in. She put her hands together for the crow to sit there like in a nest, in which the crow did.
