16 - The Tsuzumi Mansion

Tanjiro and Nailee fixated their eyes on the blonde boy who was begging an innocent girl to marry him because he thought he would die.

"Oh my..." Nailee covered her mouth as she watched the blonde boy. "We should go there and help her." She said before she started walking up to the blonde boy.

"Let go off her!" Nailee yelled and pulled rhe blonde boy by his hair, however he didn't budge an inch. Nailee shifted her eyes to Tanjiro and he was talking to a sparrow?

Tanjiro let go off the bird and went up to the blonde boy and pulled him by his haori. "What the hell do you think you're doing?"

Nailee was worried about that girl so she went up and checked on her to see if she's alright. Tanjiro and the blonde boy were having a fight because he apparently recognized Tanjiro meanwhile Tanjiro claimed to have never met him.

"HEY! THAT GIRL WAS GOING TO MARRY ME. BECAUSE SHE'S IN LOVE WITH ME ALL RI-" The blonde boy started to yell but that girl quickly snapped and started to hit him. Over and over and over again.

Nailee covered her eyes and hid behind Tanjiro, crumpled into a ball. Tanjiro mustered up the courage to go and pull the girl away from him keeping her away from the blonde boy.

Apparently the blonde boy was crumpled into a street and she reached out to see if he was all right, and he mistook it as a sign of love. ...And she had a fiancé already which made it worse.

The girl finally went away and Nailee looked up and saw the blonde boy on his knees. "I-is she finally gone?" She asked Tanjiro.

Zenitsu took a good look at Nailee as she stood up and had hearts all over him. He quickly went up to her and grabbed her by the hem of her black shirt.

"IF SHE WONT MARRY ME, THEN YOU HAVE TO." The blonde boy shouted and Nailee wash shivering from the fear.

Nailee jumped behind Tanjiro once again and held tightly on the box Nezuko was in, contemplating if Tanjiro's back would break if she got in.

"NO! DON'T RUN AWAY FROM ME, MARRY ME RIGHT NOW OR I'M DYING." The blonde boy shouted at the top of his lungs and tried to go for Nailee but was stopped by Tanjiro's hand on his chest.

"Look, cut it out!" Tanjiro gave him the most pitiful look ever and he could feel Nailee trembling of fear from him. She covered her face with her hands again and was about to start crying.

"What's with that look on your face? STOP THAT! Why are you staring at me like i'm a creature or something?" The blonde boy yelled at Tanjiro. Nailee took away her hands from her face and faced the blonde boy.

"SONCE IT'S YOUR FAULT THAT I MISSED OUT ON GETTING MARRIED!" The blonde yelled pointing at Tanjiro. Everything went silent for what felt to Tanjiro and Nailee like it was forever but in reality it was just a few seconds.

Nailee and Tanjiro had the most pitiful faces on the boy, Nailee was slightly trembling because she was scared of him.

"Jeez, say something!" The blonde yelled. After a while the boy calmed down. He was scared that he'll die in his next job because he saw himself 'weak'

"My name is Kamado Tanjiro" Tanjiro said proudly to him. "Hi... I'm Kibutsuji Nailee..." Nailee said still behind Tanjiro as she waved to the blonde.

"Is that right? My apologies." The blonde said and went up to grab Tanjiro's uniform. "I'm Agatsuma Zenitsu! Please save me Tanjiro and Nailee!" he shrieked the names out loud.

Tanjiro asked him what he means by saving him, and he asked for the reason why he became a swordsman in first place.

Poor Zenitsu was swindled by a woman and racked up a whole debt, and the old man that paid for it was a cultivator and had him go to training day after day so he thought he'd be better off dead.
