y/n babysits cassie for her boyfriend scott while he's on a mission and he comes home to y/n and cassie fallen asleep watching a show.

3rd person pov:

while Scott was fighting criminals out late, he had asked his girlfriend, y/n, if she could possibly watch Cassie for him. y/n immediately agreed and she said, "it's not a problem.", and smiled. y/n loved Cassie, she was adorable and y/n really wanted to have a good relationship with Cassie since it's the love of her life's daughter.

it was 8:30 pm. "okay cass I think it's time to get ready to go to bed." y/n spoke almost in a sad manor because, she was having quite the time with Cassie. Cassie whined, "already! it's only like 6." Cassie tried to persuade.

"nice try kiddo but your dad said you have to sleep at 8... but I allowed 30 more minutes extra for you." y/n replied with a soft smile. Cassie giggled, "please y/n! just one more episode." Cassie pleaded.

y/n looked at her watch nervously, she was extremely exhausted from her day at work and just wanted to go to fall asleep in Scott's arms. y/n sighed as Cassie whined more begging her for just one more episode of her favourite kids show.

"fine, but don't tell your dad." y/n whispered making Cassie jump up and down in cheer. "ok ok settle down." y/n chuckled at her excitement. Cassie jumped into y/n's side making her groan.

y/n pressed play and the bright colourful show started to play once again. y/n hadn't realized how droopy her eyes were, she attempted to keep them open but a dark daze took over her view.

y/n's eyes opened as she looked at the tv and saw , "are you still watching" bolded covering the screen. y/n started to panic. how could she fall asleep on Cassie!?

y/n went to move but before she did she felt something leaning against her lap. she looked down and found a sleeping Cassie peacefully dreaming away. y/n smiled and sighed. at least she was asleep, y/n started to feel hazy and tired again as it was a very quiet and calm atmosphere.

4 hours later~

3:25 am to be exact.

Scott quietly as he could opened the front door and closed it gently not wanting to wake y/n or Cassie awake. He walked up the stairs and turned left to Cassies  room. He walked in and he looked at the empty room in confusion. In panic he walked to Scott and y/n's room.

It was also empty.

'where were they?' Scott thought. He stepped down stairs again and walked to the living room. he saw the television was still on but it had the ideal Netflix "are you still watching" across the screen. He then felt his heart warm as he saw Cassie sleeping on y/n's lap, they had fallen asleep together.

Scott carefully lifted Cassie and she grumbled a few times as he carried her to her room upstairs. he gently laid her in her bed and tucked her in tight. her kissed her forehead, "goodnight peanut." he spoke. he got up to leave when Cassie spoke, "y/n's the coolest.". Scott grinned wildly, "night daddy." she added and Scott responded with another goodnight and turned off the light closing the door.

He made his way back down stairs to his love y/n. He picked her up this time and headed up stairs to their bedroom. Scott changed her clothes, and got her comfortable and under the blankets. He slipped under the blankets as well.

y/n's eyes fell open and she looked around as she felt a different setting. "I put Cassie to sleep don't worry." Scott whispered. y/n turned her head to see Scott laying next to her. "she's so sweet." y/n replied in relief. "yea she thinks you're the coolest." he replies, "oh really?" y/n teased and chuckled quietly.

"I love you." Scott spoke pulling y/n into his embrace. "I love you too babe." y/n responded pecking his lips. y/n sighed as she had fallen asleep in a warm haze.

a few minutes later the bedroom door opened and closed. y/n's eyes opened in confusion, so did Scott's. up came Cassie and laid between Scott and y/n. Scott gave her an apologetic stare but y/n shrugged and smiled. Scott kissed her forehead gently so Cassie wouldn't hear.

they all fell asleep that evening.
