Mary swiftly paced back and forth packing every essential item she needed. She grabbed her clothes, a handgun and an ammunition case, and lastly, her Bible. She wasn't sure when it occurred, but she could hear the chaos presiding outside her small apartment. She didn't dare look out the window. There was too much danger in even peeking. So she silently exited through the back and jumped in her car. Her cell phone rang, "It's happening... Yes, I'm ready... Okay, good.... We're bringing Matt too... He is coming with. I don't care if he isn't... Fine. See you there." She put her cell phone away and drove off. Now to find Matt.

Matt ran through the streets as chaos took its hold. Several people came up to him yelling, "Are you a Christian!"

"No, I ain't no Christian! get off of me!" he'd yell back. One man grabbed him by the throat and demanded that he be a Christian. Matt just punched him square in the jaw, knocking the demented man out.

What in the world is going on? he thought as he paced through the road. Bricks flew through the air, shattering windows, fires were let loose throughout the once peaceful city. How could one man claim to make peace and cause so much damage? He had to get to Mary before someone else did. He had to keep her safe. He just had to figure something out. Mary would never take that chip, he remembered her speaking of it being in, what was it again? Ugh... He couldn't remember. All he knew is that it was something at the end of times. The end of times? Could it be?

Tom hurried along as he jumped out of his old car on the side of an abandoned road. He chose the perfect place to hide until things would settle down. He grabbed the box full of weapons and set it down behind a bush. He then pulled his car behind some trees and grabbed a dusty camouflage cover, putting it over his car. He had thought of everything. He waited for this day, waiting for the time when Christians would become hunted. Tom sat by the box and waited for the others to come. Hopefully, sooner than later.

"Where are we going to go?" Rebecca asked Luke timidly.

Luke looked hard for a moment, trying to figure out what to do. "I don't know. Just run for it?"

"That will never work. We'll be captured and killed." said Rebecca frantically.

Luke pushed her red hair out of her face, "Don't worry. We'll get out of this. God always has a way." he said, "We will figure something out. I promise. God will not just allow us to sit here and be killed."

She smiled, "Okay. Let's go."

"I know a forest trail we can take. No one will ever find us." he said with a sense of hope, "We can make it."

He ran and ran, pushing past people losing all control of decency. People not only arguing now, but fighting, to the death. Blood was shed over the street, cars flipped and burning, bodies lay across the sidewalks, shops being burned and robbed. The whole town, in complete mayhem. He puffed and puffed, he was so tired, but he had to get to her. Just a few more blocks... A car swerved right in front of him, nearly missing. He looked to see who the mad driver was. It was Mary. "Mary!" called Matt.

"Matt, jump in!" cried Mary, "Hurry!"

He jumped in and they sped off. "Mary, where are you going?" asked Matt.

She smiled, "Somewhere safe."
