Captured (Poe Dameron x reader)

Telling Poe

Leia and I walk into the medical clinic and approach the droid behind the desk "Hi I have an appointment under the name Dameron." the droid clicks on the computer in front of it and nods "If you would like to have a seat Mrs Dameron the nurse will be ought shortly." Leia squeezes my hand gently as we sit "Thank you for coming with me." she nods "Of course." a young woman with blond hair tied in a neat bun walks out holding a padd "Mrs Dameron?" I stand and she smiles warmly "If you will follow me please."

She leads us into a small room that smells vaguely of cleaning products. "If you'd like to take a seat, I'm just going to set this up." she motions to a computer screen behind her. I sit down and Leia sits by the door "So I'm just going to put this on your stomach and then check that the fetus is healthy and depending on how far along you are we might be able to work out the gender." I nod slightly and pull up my shirt slightly, she spreads a cold gel over my stomach then places a grey block over the top moving the computer screen so she can see it better. "Alright. So your about a four weeks along. Everything is healthy. And if you look right there that is your baby." she points at a darker point on the screen.

Leia walks over and we both stare at the screen. "So everything is good. You'll need to come back again in about a month for another scan where we will be able to work out the gender if you want to know." I nod slightly "Thank you." she smiles brightly "I'll see you in a months time." she hands me a small photograph of the scan and an envelope. I stand clutching the picture while Leia guides me out the room "It's so tiny." she chuckles "It'll grow quicker than you think." I nod slightly and slip the picture into my pocket "Now all I have to do is tell Poe." she smiles squeezing my hand "He loves you just remember that." I nod slightly and we walk the rest of the way home in a comfortable silence.

Leia and Luke leave an hour later, Poe and I waving them off. The droids beep happily rolling around and Poe looks confused "What? Y/N has a surprise?" I sigh smiling softly and lead him over to the sofa sitting down. "This surprise." I take the envelope out of my pocket and hand it to him, he opens it slowly taking out the picture.

He stares at it blankly for a moment before his eyes widen "Is this? Are you? Are we?" I smile taking his free hand in mine "I'm pregnant." he grins "We're going to be parents?" I nod and he beams standing and pulling me up spinning around "We're going to be parents." I laugh kissing him gently "Yes we are." he grins kissing me again "How far a long are you?" he places a hand over my stomach "Four weeks." he nods slightly "I love you. I love you both." the droids roll over beeping and he chuckles "Yes we love you as well." he leans his forehead against mine whispering "We're going to be parents."

Smiling I close my eyes and wrap my arms around him "You're going to be an amazing dad." he pulls me closer "And you'll be an amazing mum." we stay wrapped in each others arms for a while and he sighs "I'm going to apologize in advance for how annoying I'm going to be making sure your alright." I chuckle "I think with mood swings we'll be even."
