Captured (Poe Dameron x reader)

Date?

I wake up early and roll out of bed and change into some casual clothes before grabbing a pair of overalls and heading to the hanger. I put the overalls on and grab a toolbox then walk over to my jet. I slide underneath and open the engine checking inside and I notice a few things are loose so grab a screwdriver. I feel something nudge my foot and put the screwdriver before scooting out from underneath the jet "Hey BB-4 how are you doing?" She beeps happily and I laugh "Well I am glad that you and BB-8 are getting along well." she rolls off and I smile watching him go before crawling back under the jet engine. I hum to myself quietly while continuing to fix my engine. 

Someone clears there throat and I stick my head out to see a very flustered looking Poe. I raise an eyebrow "Can I help you?" I get up and scowl as my head only just reaches his chin. He gives a small smile "Well I was wondering if you um if you wanted to go on a date?" I smile at his facial expression and nod "Okay." he beams "Really okay meet me here at eight." I nod and watch as he bounds of. I smile I guess he is cute and he has an adorable smile and he is an amazing piolet. I shake my head wow I guess I do like him. I finish fixing my jet take off my overalls throwing them into the cockpit then walk to the communications room where I know Leia will be. I walk inside and hug Leia "Any new news on Luke?" she shakes her head "No sorry dear, but I promise any news and I will tell you first." I nod "I'm sorry I just really miss him." she smiles and hugs me again "We will find him and have fun tonight." 

I pull away "How did you know?" she smiles "Poe practically barged down the door to tell your freind Ava but he told me when he couldn't find her." I roll my eyes "He's a dork but he's still cute." she smiles "Well I hope you're happy." I nod and walk out the room smiling to myself. I head to my room and open the wardrobe debating what to wear. I stare at it for about 10 minutes then give up and walk to the mess hall for lunch. I grab a plate and a couple of sandwiches then sit with Ava and a couple of other piolets. "Hey Y/N." I smile "Hello." Ava grins and flicks her eyes towards the girl next to her mouthing "Heather." I smile and mouth back "cute."

I finish my food and stand up "See you later Ava." she nods and I walk out checking the time, It's only two o'clock and I have the whole day off so nothing to do. I start walking towards the hanger when someone grabs my shoulders "Y/N I need your help." I turn to see another piolet, Oscar. I smile and nod "What do you need help with?" he looks sheepish "Well my engine is  broken and your probably the best mechanic on the base." I smile "Lead the way." he nods and I follow him through the base towards outside. He leads me to a small jet and I smile "give me a screwdriver and wrench and I can have it fixed in an hour" he grins "Thanks." I grab a screwdriver and slide under the jet.

I open the engine compartment and smile its not that bad. I undo the main part and hold out my hand "Wrench please." it is pressed into my hand "Thank you." I tighten the screws and place everything back where it needs to go "Okay can you pass the oil can?" I take it "Thanks." I put some oil onto the screws to stop them sticking then finish tightening the remaining screws then crawl out from underneath "All fixed." I smile and shake his hand "Well I'm off." Oscar grins "Thanks again." I nod and walk of checking the time, half three. I scowl and go to my room. I open the door and lock it. I go over to the wardrobe and take out the box at the bottom. I unlock it and pick up my lightsaber turning it on. The blue light comforts me, I swing it around slightly being careful not to hit anything.

I jump when someone knocks on the door and almost take a chunk out of the wall. "Just a minute." I quickly turn the sabre off and put it back in the box and lock it. I push it into the wardrobe with my foot and walk to the door opening it. Ava barges in and I gently close the door "Come in." she turns grinning "Heather asked me out." I grin "And Poe asked me out." we hug and she bounds over to the wardrobe "Okay you have to let me choose your outfit." I nod knowing I have no choice in the matter. She lays out a simple outfit that is cute but comfortable.

I go into the bathroom and quickly change before walking out. "What do you think?" she smiles "Well I chose it out so of course, it looks fabulous." I laugh "Why thank you." I put my hands in my pocket and look at the clock on the wall "Well it's half eight. Half an hour to go." she smiles "Well I have to go. But we have to share details tomorrow." I roll my eyes "Of course." she walks towards the door and opens it "By the way your sabre box is out." I nod "Thanks." she closes the door behind her and I put the box fully away then stare at a picture of my dad on the wall "Hey dad, I'm going on a date. I know it's against the Jedi code but I think I really like him. Also, I haven't been a proper Jedi recently anyway. Sorry."

I walk out the room locking the door and go towards the hanger. I spot Poe leaning against my jet. He is wearing a baggy shirt, his leather jacket and dark jeans. I smile he looks pretty good. I walk over and he smiles "Well Hello pixie." I smile "Flyboy." he takes my hand and we walk together towards the forest which is just next to the base.
