Harry Potter...
A mystery to me...one I'd like to solve.
Before today I rarely ever acknowledged him but today for some reason after seeing him in the morning, I couldn't get him out of my head.
After Annabeth had run off to talk to him I felt like I was jerked back to reality because for a while I couldn't focus on anything but him and I was just staring off into space.
I made my way towards Hermes Cabin because that's where I was meeting Connor. We were going to train together then we were going to spend some time together having a date.
On my way there I was stopped by Clarisse La Rue.
"Hey, Weasley. Where's Jackson?" She asked me rudely.
"She's talking to Harry. I don't know where she is right now," I explained.
She rolled her eyes, "I guess you'll do, come with me smarty."
"Thank you for that kindergarten insult. It really tore me up," I joked and started to follow the warrior girl.
She scoffed, "Smartass."
"You know it," I smiled, "What do you need?"
"You remember the battle last summer right?" she asked me as we walked up to a group of her siblings.
I rolled my eyes, "No, I don't remember the huge battle where we almost died."
"Shut up," Clarisse sneered.
I laughed, "Yeah, I remember. What about it?"
"Well, how much do you remember?" she asked.
I quirked my eyebrow, "Uh...all of it?"
Clarisse rolled her eyes, "That's what you think. Tell me exactly how Gaea was beat."
I opened my mouth to answer but realized I didn't have anything to say, "Um..." I pursed my lips, "Okay? So what, it wasn't like I went on that quest in full anyway."
"Yeah...that's the thing. We can't remember either," Tori Manga, one of Clarisse's siblings, said with a frown.
I shrugged, "You weren't on the quest either."
"Yeah, but I was battling in front lines during the war, and I don't even remember why I had to be," she explained.
I pursed my lips...strange.
"Group amnesia?" I asked. I honestly didn't know what to say.
Tori rolled her eyes, "For a Wise Girl, you're pretty stupid. Come on guys let's talk to Chiron."
I shrugged and went back the way I was going. Finally, I made it too the Hermes Cabin.
Connor was sitting out front doing something to the door.
"Prank war?" I ask sitting next to him.
He smiled at me and nodded, "Prank war."
"Travis and you would love my twin brothers—" I paused. Who am I talking about?
Connor stopped and looked at me, "You have twin brothers?"
I shook my head, "Uh...no, I don't. I don't know where that came from, I guess I just started talking."
He smiled, "It's okay, love." he kissed my cheek.
My mind felt blurry. I could see two figures but not their faces and I couldn't place their names. Red hair, tall, twins.
I must've made them up in my head.
For some reason, one of the figures was less bright in color. Harder to see. Like they were fading.
It made me sad thinking about these two figures I couldn't name.
Another Mystery added to the list of today.
