IMPORTANT NOTE AT THE END TO HELP WITH TIMELINE AND AGE CALCULATIONS

My dear older brother is very bad at pretending he wasn't planning something. Good thing I was smarter than him when it came to sneaking around and doing mischievous things. I was the iconic George and the late Fred Weasley duo combined into one tiny 17 year old female.

I had an extendable ear on my person so I heard his entire conversation with Jason. He was right I was meeting someone. And it was a Slytherin. Merlin forgive I hang out with someone from a different house. Just because someone is Slytherin does not make them evil.

After breakfast I ran up to my dorm room and I grabbed my invisibility cloak my parents gave me for Christmas. For Percy's birthday he was given first and foremost a blue cake (ever since we were kids he has had a thing for blue food) and he given a great grey owl. He also had a love for owls, he said because they were wise...but sometimes I felt it was something more. He named her Wise Girl.

He wasn't even jealous that he was just given an animal and I got the family's cloak, he was content and happy with his Wise Girl.

Anyways, Once we got on the train to go to Hogsmeade I bumped into a Slytherin girl...and I still stand by my statement that not all Slytherins are bad...but this girl is a bitch.

Piper McLean.

She is in my year and she targets me.

"Ugh. You." she seethed.

I rolled my eyes and growled, "Yeah not to chipper about seeing you myself. Excuse me."

"Ugh, whatever, come on Leo," she called back. I watched this Latino boy with curly black hair run up behind her. Leo Valdez. He was actually pretty nice for being in Slytherin. He can be very sneaky and sarcastic too. He is a big prankster as well. He's also in my year.

I gave him small smile that he returned then followed Piper, they were best friends.

I would've sat with my brother and other friends in the train but their compartment was filled because some of our other friends sat with them too. I sat in a compartment with one boy in it. He looked fairly young.

"Hi, I'm Bridget Jackson. I'm sorry if I am intruding everywhere else is kind of full. What's your name?" I asked politely.

He looked up, he was very pale almost in an unhealthy way but he was also muscular. He wore all black, he looked like he also hadn't smiled in years, "Nico Di Angelo." he grumbled simply. then looked back down.

I felt kind of uncomfortable, "Uh...that's nice. Um, what house and year are you in? I'm in Gryffindor and I'm a seventh year, I'm 17."

He looked up again and rolled his eyes a bit but answered, "Slytherin, fifth year, 16. Now look, not to be rude but I hate small talk so could we both just pretend the other isn't there?"

"Uh...sure. Sorry." I said and then I hugged my legs on the seat and turned to look out the window. I studied Nico. There was something about him, I felt like I knew him and that feeling made me want to talk to him more...even though I knew he didn't want to. I also I had a strange urge to crack his shell.

"So...Nico. Are you friends with Draco Malfoy, Piper McLean, or Leo Valdez." I asked after a few minutes of awkward silence, he looked up and glared at me a bit.

"I know them. Leo's annoying, Piper's full of herself, and Draco's kind of an ass...well he was before the war at least. Now he's okay I guess. I don't talk to him much, he has tried to talk to me though. It's weird having him still be here because the seventh years from last year who were heavily involved in one way or another in the war have to repeat their year," he vented a little bit.

"Woah, so you do talk for more than a second at a time," I joked. He rolled his eyes again but I don't think the comment angered him. I saw the tiniest flinch on the corner of his mouth. "Not to be nosy or sound like a jerk, but do you have any friends?"

He shrugged, "People tend to steer clear of me. They call me Ghost Boy."

"That's awful, why would they do that?" I asked.

"Cause I'm apparently scary looking and so pale I look sick...so they joke that I am a ghost and the name suck. The only people I talk to really are the ghosts and Hagrid." he explained, I watched his shoulders relax while he talked. He was loosening up a little.

I looked at him sympathetically, "Nico, I am so sorry—."

He tensed up again and glared at me, "I don't need pity. I don't need friends I like being alone." he turned away from me and we didn't talk for the rest of the train ride. and all I could think about was how I was going to become Nico Di Angelo's friend and crack his barrier.

**30 minutes later**

I got off the train and immediately ran somewhere to avoid my brother and threw my cloak on. Then I went back to the crowd. I saw my brother and Jason they were searching for me.

Perfect.

I started to walk to where I was really going before meeting up with everyone else. I went to the forest and walked to the secluded area where you could look at the Shrieking Shack from a distance behind a fence.

I took off my cloak and admired the beauty of the shack, even though it meant to be scary it really wasn't in all honesty. There were flowers and tall grass billowing in the wind. May brought a peaceful look to the Shack.

Then someone covered my eyes, "Guess who?" a voice said behind me.

"hmmm...if it isn't my boyfriend I'll hex you." I laughed and turned around coming face to face with Draco Malfoy.

I brought myself to my tippy toes to hug him and give him a quick kiss, he looked at me and smiled, "Did you have any trouble getting here?"

I shrugged and sat down in the grass and leaned on him when he joined me, "Percy suspects that I'm meeting a guy and is paranoid it is a Slytherin, but so far I think I'm okay. He aggravates me with how over protective he is, I'm 17 for Merlin's Sake I can take care of myself and date who I want."

Draco stayed quiet for a minute, I knew he was only quiet when he was contemplating, "What is it? Do you not agree with me?" I asked.

He made a clicking sound with his tongue, "I do agree with you but I also know that you should cut him some slack. You're his little sister who he cares deeply about. Since I've changed after the war I'm more understanding of the other side of the story when it comes to arguments. But I agree with you he can be neurotic."

I looked at Draco, every time I looked in his eyes I fell in love all over again, "I love you, Draco Malfoy."

He smiled and pulled me in closer, "I love you too, Bridge Jackson." He gave me a forehead kiss and then we just sat together enjoying the moment while we could.
