Thalia was brave to come with me on my journey. She didn't know much about me and she did not know much about the creature we were pursuing.

I couldn't help but admire her, she had lots of spirit and drive. Her eyes were also the most intriguing color. They weren't just blue, it was almost at if you could see bolts of lighting sparking through them. It was breathtaking.

She was breathtaking as a whole.

Once we finished the taxi ride I lead her to the place I was looking for. I did not realize how much of a problem the place we were going would be for her though.

I assumed since she was the Daughter of Zeus she could fly and would love heights. Well...I couldn't have been more wrong.

To get to where the beast was we needed to ascend a mountain and cross a rope bridge.

Then...there is a cliff jump down into a section of sea and then swim to an underwater cavern and then follow the cavern on foot to the home of the beast which is actually a very calm place...from what I have heard.

The one person whom has also battled this beast gave me the location and the directions to get here.

I probably should've given her more details about the "hike" part of the trip...she was not happy. Although...she is kind of cute when she is angry.

"REYNA!!! The fucking bridge was bad enough and now you expect to fucking JUMP OF A CLIFF INTO WATER!!! Not only does that require jumping and fall a high distance...the water is the opposite of my domain. I'm not really suppose to go in there. ESPECIALLY THE OCEAN!"

I clenched my teeth, "I'm sorry. I should've told you before. I didn't think it would be a problem. You're the daughter of Zeus...I assumed you could fly."

Thalia scoffed and started to walk away from the cliffs edge. I could see how uneasy she was up this high and I felt bad. I walked over to her and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"You know. You can do this. You just have to believe in yourself...like how I believe in you," I spoke to her.

She turned her head and smiled at me, "How can I even begin to overcome this fear though. I'm terrified of even being near that edge."

"Well, maybe then you have to not think. Maybe you have to eliminate any senses that would allow you to know where you are," I suggested.

"You mean like...blindfold me?" Thalia asked with a terrified face.

I shrugged, it hadn't exactly been what I'd thought of...but it made sense. I smirked at her.

Thalia's grew wider than her face, "No."

*sPiCytime skip*

It took a long chase and some wrestling and a lot of Thalia screaming before I could finally get her to hear me out and agree.

I stood against her while we stood on the edge of the cliff. She was blindfolded. I held her arms and rubbed back and forth with my thumb to calm her down. I could feel her shaking.

"You ready?" I asked in her ear.

Thalia shook her head, "No...no, nope. I can't do this. I'm sorry I can't." She tried to move away from me but I held her in place.

I thought for a moment before coming up with something, "Thalia. What are you afraid of exactly?"

"What do you mean," she asked. "I'm scared of falling fifty feet to my watery death."

"Okay so...you're scared to fall," I said simply.

"Yes, I'm scared to fall," she whispered.

"Okay, you could fall. But, Thals, what if you fly?" I whispered back to her.

She turned her head to look at me, our noses were touching. My stomach was doing back flips, her breathe hit my face. It was warm and smelled like peppermint.

I wanted so badly to place a soft kiss on her lips. But I knew she probably didn't feel the same way. I didn't even really understand my own feelings. It was so new. I didn't want to risk loosing this new friendship. Instead, I started to rub her hand that I could feel with my thumb again, hoping it would help her calm down this time. She started taking more even breaths, I felt her become less shaky the more we stood there with my arms encircling her.

"You ready?" I asked her calmly. Unlike when I asked the first time, she simply nodded. She trusted me. I leaned forward and pushed us both off the cliff together. I kept my arms tight around her body.

She screamed and screamed. I felt the wind rushing through my hair and my clothes. I made the mistake of opening my own eyes and watching the ground become closer and closer. Even though I knew there was water and we'd be safe, it was still scary to see.

All of sudden, we stopped moving. I looked around and we were simply suspended in midair. We were floating. Thalia did it!

"THALS! LOOK!" I exclaimed in absolute glee, "You did it!"

"HOLY SHIT!!!" Thalia looked at me as we were floating in the air, "i did it!!"

"Yeah you did," I couldn't help but smile from ear to ear.

She looked at me softly, "And it's all thanks to you. I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you." She kept looking at me intently and without warning.

She kissed me.
