Tainted Love

Chapter 1

"Shuuun!" I called out to my childhood friend as I ran to catch up to him.

"Your so slow, Kei." He smiled at me and I blushed and looked away.

"Sorry."

"Ahahaha don't be. Let's hurry we don't want to be late to class." I nodded as we headed in the school building to our first period class.

As soon as we walked in the classroom, Shun was greeted by Adam. I walked over to my seat by myself and constantly flickered my eyes to them and back to my desk.

I was a bit annoyed since I couldn't spend more time with him. "Guess who!"

"Minami, don't cover my eyes."

"Hehe sorry." Minami is my best friend here. She's the only one who understands me more than anyone else. Except for Shun, who also understands me.

I looked back over to Shun and looked away quickly. Adam looked over towards me and kinda just...stared. "Shun, your not gonna talk to Kei?"

"Huh?"

"He kinda seems...lonely when your not talking to him."

I could hear them whispering about something and occasionally I could feel their eyes on my back.

Its making me uncomfortable. I closedy eyes and sighed. I felt a tap on my shoulder, and thinking it was Minami, I opened my eyes.

I looked up and Shun was standing there. "You okay? You don't look too good."

"I'm fine."

"That's good." He smiled and I blushed a little. I looked over and saw Adam. I waved "hi" slightly and he did the same thing back.

Just then Akino ran in the room and his behind me. "Kei save me."

"Huh?"

"I think I might have pissed Rhyu off." All of stared at her wide-eyed.

"Do you want to die?"

"Of course I don't. Its something I said that I shouldn't have blurted out."

"What did you say." We stared at her.

"I might have told him  that he had no chance dating Shun and that you were more of Shun's type."

I blushed and slapped her. "What the hell were you thinking!?"

I looked over slightly at Shun and saw his face was red too. "I'm sorry."

"Don't give me more trouble than I already have." I sighed angrily.

Rhyu walked in the room and when he did he glared at me straight away. I hid behind Shun, hoping Rhyu wouldn't try to kill me.

Shun patted my head. "Its okay. I'll protect you. I won't let him hurt you." I looked at Shun and then back at the ground.

The teacher walked in and everyone went to their seats. We sat through the long lectures of boring stuff until break time.

I looked over and saw Shun talking to Rhyu. I wonder what they're talking about. I closed my eyes and when I opened them again I saw Rhyu touching Shun.

I narrowed my eyes and just glared. I don't you touching Shun! Minami came over and stared at me. She looked over to where I was glaring.

She patted me on the back which made me look up. "Don't worry I'm sure Shun won't go anywhere unless you're there." My face turned red and she started giggling.

"What's that supposed to mean?" She was in a full fit of laughter now.

"Y...you should see your face ahahahaha."

"Shut up!"

"It is true though. He seems attached to you. He's always worrying over you."

"I doubt it." I looked away from her.

"Hmmm, what do you boubt?" Adam leaned on my back slightly.

"Nothing." I shifted my eyes over slightly and saw Shun looking this way. Glaring. Why is he mad?

"I told you Kei, he's always watching over you."

"That sounds creepy." I shivered at the thought and she giggled.

"Don't think too much into it." She patted my back and walked away.

"So...are you and Shun dating yet?"

"What!? No. Why would we date?" My face was turning red but since he was leaning against my back he couldn't see it.

"You two seem very...close."

"We're childhood friends, that's all."

"Well that's good I guess." I heard him mumble to himself but couldn't quite hear what he said.

"What did you say?"

"Nothing. Class is about to start so I'm heading back to my seat." He went back to his seat leaving me there confused.

Oh well. I'll find out later about what he said. I sat back in my seat and waited for the teacher to come.

The teacher came in and started lectures again until it was time to go home. I waved by to my friend and walked home with Shun.
