Chapter 7

My bedroom door opened and Ryan was standing there. He saw Shun kissing me and his eyes widened in shock.

"What the..." Ryan gets angry really quick. He walked over and shoved Shun against the wall.

"I thought you said you wouldn't do anything to him." Ryan looked at Shun and then back at me. "Next time you touch him I'll seriously kill you."

"I'm sorry but I can't accept that."

"What did you say you little brat." Ryan raised his fist but when he swung, he didn't hit Shun.

I hit the floor holding my face. Shun eyes widened as he broke free from Ryan's grasp.

"Kei are you alright." I groaned in pain as Shun pulled me onto his lap.

"Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry Kei." Ryan leaned down beside me. He looked truly hurt and regretful.

"I'm fine." I managed to say. Shun brushed the hair out of my face.

"Ryan, you didn't let me explain." He looked at me.

"What? What were trying to explain?" He held my hand and squeezed it gently.

"Shun and I are..." That was all I was able to say before I passed out.

(Shun's POV)

"Kei. Kei?" Ryan was holding Kei's hand gently as he tried to wake Kei up.

"He's alright. He just passed out from being hit too hard." Ryan looked at me then back to Kei.

"I'm sorry." I heard him whisper. "This is all my fault. Do you know what Kei was trying to say?" I nodded and he gave a look that said "well tell me".

"What he was trying to say was that..."

"What?"

"Me and Kei are...dating now." Ryan's eyes widened when I said that.

"You two...are dating?" I nodded and he looked like he just sucked on a lemon. "I'll leave for now." He stood up and left us alone.

I put Kei on the bed and held his hand. Hana ran into the room worried. "Hey, Ryan was crying. What happened just...now, oh."

She saw Kei laying on the bed. "What happened to him?"

"Ryan...punched him." I looked back at Kei sadly.

"He what? Oh no, not good." I looked at Hana and bit my lip.

"He'll be okay, right?"

"Depends. How hard did Ryan punch him?" I shrugged. "Then there's no telling if he'll be okay or not."

I looked down at Kei sadly and held him in my arms. I positioned him to where his head was against my chest.

That night I was told I could stay over just in case Kei woke up so I made a little tiny bed on the floor and slept there.

It was quiet and it felt like time itself was frozen. I sat up after thirty minutes of trying to go to sleep. Since I was so worried about Kei, I just couldn't do that.

I stayed sitting up and was about to lay back down when I felt a pair of arms wrap around me.

"Can't sleep?"

"Kei. Your awake?"

"I'll be fine. He didn't hit me that hard."

"That's good." I closed my eyes and sighed in relief. I watched Kei go back to his bed and lay down.

I stood up and kissed him goodnight but before I could go back to my bed on the floor, he grabbed my arm and pulled into bed with him.

He cuddled up against me, putting his head against my chest. His arms were wrapped around me so I wrapped mine around him.

"I'm sorry Kei." I whispered softly into his ear making him move closer to me.

"For what? You didn't do anything wrong."

"I was supposed to be the one who got hit but instead you did."

"I couldn't watch him hurt you. Your more important to me than anyone else, except family, that's a line you can't cross."

"I know. I won't ever cross that line."

"At least not until we're officially a couple." I saw him smile slightly.

"What does that mean?"

"It means once they officially recognize same sex couples. They haven't done that yet which is stupid." He stared at me seriously as he spoke about it.

"Well in my point of view we're already an official couple." I kissed the top of his head and hugged him tighter.

"Tomorrow we have school so you should probably get some sleep." He nodded and closed his eyes. A few minutes later I heard a faint sound of breathing. I smiled down at him then closed my eyes.

As long as he was okay that was good enough for me. Darkness surrounded with silence as we slept through the night.

**The next day**

(Kei's POV)

I woke up early with Shun laying right beside me. I woke him up so we could both get dressed and be ready for school.

We finally arrived a few minutes later and still had time to walk around for a bit. Instead we just walked immediately to the classroom.

"I'll be right back. I'm going to the restroom real quick." He looked reluctant to let me go by my self but nodded.

I walked in and immediately turned on the sink. I splashed water on my face to wake me up and washed my hands.

"Your Shun's friend, right?" I turned around and looked at the door. Great. Just what I needed to make my day perfect. I might be in serious hell now.
