Chapter 2

Shun and I were walking home in silence. It was awkward until he asked me, "Kei, do you like Adam?"

"Huh?"

"I'm asking if you like Adam."

"Of course not. I like you way more." I saw him faintly blush and nod his head.

"Okay." He whispered with a slight smile on his face.

Was he possibly worried about me? I stared at him a far a bit then mentally shook my head. Of course not. Why would Shun, of all people, be worried about me?

I silently laughed to myself for being stupid. "Kei."

"Hmm. What?"

"What would you do if you found out your best friends dating someone?"

"Eh uhmmm. Be happy for them I guess. If they're dating someone then shouldn't you be happy that they found someone."

"Yeah, I guess." I saw him frown and didn't know what I said to make him upset. I sighed and looked ahead.

"Well we're at my house. I'll see you tomorrow." I waved bye and walked up to my house.

"Kei wait." I turned around and looked at Shun.

"Why don't we hang out for a while. Its only noon." I nodded my head and he smiled.

"Where do you want to hang out?"

"Let's go to the park."

"Okay." I followed him to the park and we both sat on a swing.

"Shun. I have a question I want to ask you."

"Hmm what is it?"

"I...is there anyone you like?"

"There is." I looked at Shun.

"Wh...who is it?"

"Eh. Not telling."

"Aw come on tell meee." I shook Shun's arm but he still refused to tell.

I'm really curious now. Who does he like? We sat for five minutes, neither of us saying or doing anything.

Shun broke the silence by asking, "Do you have someone you like?"

I looked at him then at the ground. I nodded and his eyes widened in shock. "So who is she?" I saw him smile as he hugged me playfully.

"Its a secret." I said quietly. He made a pouty face and I giggled.

"Its getting late isn't it." Shun looked up at the sky.

"Yeah I should get going. Later." I got up off of the swing and started walking. "Actually its not a girl I like. It's you." I said quietly.

"Hmm, did you say something Kei?"

"No nothing. I'll see you tomorrow." I ran off towards my house and watched him wave bye.

As soon as I got to my house I went straight to my room and layed down on my bed. I'm in love with my childhood friend, Shun.

I closed my eyes and brought my knees to my chest. "If I told him, would he reject me?"

"What was that about rejecting you Onii-chan?"

"H...Hana. Since when have you been there?"

"Around the part where you said, 'reject me'. That's all I heard."

Thank god she didn't hear it was a guy. "So what is it Onii-chan? A girl you like?" I shook my head and she walked over.

"Is it a guy you like?" My face flushed red and she started giggling. "So who is he? C'mon you can tell me, you know I'm non-judgemental."

"No way. Why would I tell you who I like?"

"Cause I'm your sister and I know everything."

"Your younger than I am."

"So what." She puffed her cheeks out which made her look like a squirrel. I started laughing at her and she giggled.

"Now that all the tension is away, what's wrong? Why are you afraid he'll reject you?" She looked serious and was intent on helping me so I had no choice but to tell her what was weighing on my mind.

"Well, we're both guys. He'll probably push me away if he finds out. You remember Shun, my childhood friend right?"

"Yeah."

"I'm afraid he'll reject me." Her eyes widened.

"So that's who you like?" I nodded and she smiled. "Don't worry. You'll stay friends. I don't think he'll push you away. He might actually accept your feelings."

"Thanks Hana but I tink I'll hold on to my feelings for now. At least until I'm ready to tell him."

"Okay. When your ready be sure to let your feelings spill out or else he'll never understand." I nodded and she got IP and left.

"Go all out with my feelings huh? I'm not sure if I can after what happened the last time I did that."

(Hana's POV)

I didn't think that my big brother actually had feelings for his best friend. I would tell him how Shun feels about him but he asked me to keep it a secret.

Sorry Kei but I can't tell you how Shun feels. All I know is that he really does love  you and thinks of you the most.

I walked in my room and heard my phone ring. I walked over and answered it. "Hello?"

"Ah, Hana hello."

"Sh...Shuuun???"

[Hey guys. I forgot to tell you but the way you say Shun is 'Shoon'. Its Japanese so it doesn't sound like the English word. Anyways I hope you liked this chapter even if it was short. I'm working on making them longer. Please bear with me. If you have ideas for this book or my others please tell me.
