"was there anything else you needed?" yuki asked softly, glancing up at recovery girl. the older women chuckled, then pointed toward the sleeping boy next to her."i hate to keep you here any longer deary, but would you please heal his ankle?" recover girl asked, giving the younger a small smile.
"of course!" yuki grinned and shuffled over to the boy with purple hair. "i did this to him so i might as well."
the day of the sports festival had arrived, and the first years were already in the third and final round; one on one battles. yuki had made it through the first two rounds without using her quirk, in which she felt a little frustrated. her quirk, harm and heal, wasn't the best physical quirk. she could hurt as much as her body allowed but she didn't feel like it was necessary for the one on ones. and doubting she would need to heal during this last round, yuki was left alone. her quirk was nothing like todoroki's or bakugou's.
though yuki surprised herself by winning her first battle against a boy in general studies; shinsō hitoshi. she had heard about his brainwashing quirk from one of her classmates, and avoided talking to him throughout the battle. yuki managed to get close to him by acting like she was under his spell which gave the girl enough time to see his outlined pressure points. she then jumped up and kicked him behind the knee which knocked him unconscious. the r-rated hero midnight then concluded that yuki was the winner due to shinsō being immobilized.
sadly her winning streak quickly came to an end when she was wizzed out of bounds by iida tenya in her second battle. since her second battle ended so quickly, yuki took it upon herself to go help out recovery girl. yuki knew that the woman most likely had her hands more than full. she had been assisting her for a little over an hour.
yuki sat at the end of the bed that shinsō was sleeping on and started to roll up his pant leg. as she kicked the back of his knee during their match, shinsō had landed on his ankle at an odd angle. yuki gentle pressed her finger tips around his skin to determine whether it was sprained or broken. luckily for both of the teens, shinsō's ankle was just sprained.
yuki's hands began to light up in a dark red haze as she gentle massaged the boy's skin. she felt his ankle warm up under her fingertips the more she healed him. shinsō started to stir in his sleep, and eventually opened his eyes.
"oh, hello." he mumbled, his voice raw and husky. yuki looked up while she worked to heal him and gave him a soft smile.
"hello shinsō," yuki took her hands away from his skin and rubbed her hands together. shinsō eyed her hands as the red hue disappeared. "how does your ankle feel? I do believe it should be fully healed now."
shinsō let his eyes fall from the girl's smiling face to his own leg. he cleared his throat before gently beginning to rotate his ankle. shinsō hummed a little, letting her know that his ankle felt fine. "feels good. thank you."
"good!" yuki breathed with a shy grin as she glanced up into his eyes. she quickly worked her gaze all over his body, looking for bandages or other scratches. shinsō watched her as she did so. she wasn't used to an audience yet. "is there any other pain? well, that I could help with? more complex pain and I'll have to call over recovery girl." shinsō was quick to shake his head no, but yuki didn't miss the wrinkle in his brow as he did so. he inhaled shakily. "are you okay?"
