now playing; death bed by powfu and beabadoobee
bakugou watched the sun descend down the hillside slowly. the sky filled softly with orange, pink and red tones. he sighed before focusing his eyes back on to his bed. bakugou had been trying his best to keep his eyes off of the sleeping girl. but as it rose to the third hour of her being settled within his sheets, it was beginning to be hard for him.
yuki laid on her stomach and with her arms wrapped gently around one of the pillows on bakugou's bed. the blanket he had thrown over yuki was slowly beginning to fall off of her body. her face was tucked into the crease of her arm, leaving only a small part of her face visible for bakugou to see. the boy clicked his tongue before gazing away from yuki.
he had been slightly surprised at himself. bakugou knew nothing about the girl who laid in his bed, though he had no problem taking her into his home. bakugou also knew that he could have easily taken yuki to her own house. he could have simply knocked on her front door and then she wouldn't be his responsibility any longer than he wanted her to be. though, the boy felt as though he couldn't leave her until she had woken up. the feeling made absolutely no sense to bakugou. he had known yuki for no longer than a few hours.
so what changed?
soft movement and an audible stirring made bakugou shift his eyes from his desk to the bed. yuki had now flipped on to her back. her head rested to the left and she had her hands hiding away in her sleeves. bakugou couldn't help but notice the gentle expression on her face as she slept. the girl truly looked at peace.
bakugou furrowed his brows as he twisted his head back around to his desk. he let out a deep sigh before popping his back. jealousy slowly rose in the blond as his eyes shifted back and forth between the bed. he had a queen sized bed, and yuki was only taking up a small potion of it. bakugou groaned as he harshly pushed his desk chair out from under him. he longed to be comfortable, and nothing was going to stop him from seeking comfort from his own bed.
"whatever," he rolled his eyes as he sat onto the bed, though he was still trying to ignore the girl next to him. bakugou sat with his back up against his bed's backboard as he pulled out his phone.
yuki rolling over onto her side pulled his eyes to her once more. she laid with her left hand under the pillow she was resting her head on and with her right arm tucked close to her chest. bakugou watched as yuki nuzzled her head into the pillow.
though what kept bakugou's gaze engraved on yuki was the soft mumbles that fell past her lips. they were quiet nothings but they kept his crimson eyes glued to her. he couldn't make out what she was saying, or what any of it meant, but he tried.bakugou couldn't look for much longer though because yuki's eyes soon fluttered open. he watched as any calmness that rested his her pale, blue eyes vanished. yuki sucked in a quick breathe before letting her eyes wonder.
unfamiliar room. unfamiliar sheets wrapped around her body that smelt of pine and smoke. familiar eyes staring down at her.
yuki rushed to sit up on the bed. "i-" yuki tried to speak but her mind was running too fast. she held her hands up to her hair, holding them there as she tried to get one solid thought out.
"you fainted," bakugou huffed, shutting his phone off and slipping it into his front pocket. "like an idiot."
the insult slipped past her as panic began to wash over her. yuki felt her cheeks flush, and reached up to push all of the stray hairs that had fallen out of her buns out of her eyes. "i'm so sorry," she managed to murmur as she shook her head, recounting her actions. she gulped as her mouth filled with excess salvia. her hands gave off small trembles as she tried to think. nothing was coming to mind. just as she feared. yuki never could recall the events following a fatigue episode.
