I had spent two hours lounging around the pool with my sister when she suddenly announced that she had shared an image of me on social media. I felt myself bottling up before I hastily returned to my room where I spent the rest of my morning.
It was no surprise that my father came to my room after coming back from work.
"Ok Kylie, I've let you do nothing for two months but you now need to start thinking about the future." My father tells me. "I know that music is a touchy subject but you need to do something with your life or you will waste away."
"I know." I smile softly at him. "But you need to do something for me."
"What?" He takes a seat on the edge of my bed.
"You need to go see your other children." He tenses and my smile slightly falls. "You have been in and out of my life but consistently in theirs. Up until I went to rehab for my drug abuse, you were more of their father than you were mine. Your children need you to be there for them."
"Kylie." I shake my head.
"I love spending time with you. I love that you are finally my father but I am not your only child. You have two other rugrats who are possibly thinking the worst about themselves because you never came back." I rub my lips together. "They need you."
"Is that how you felt?" My father asks and I close my eyes for a moment as a sigh leaves my lips.
"You broke my heart." My voice cracks. "So don't break theirs, not now when they need you."
I close my eyes again as my father leans over and kisses my forehead.
"I love you and I promise that I'm coming back." He whispers in my ear.
"I love you too." I lean my forehead against his. "Please come back to me."
We stay there in silence for what felt like forever before he kisses my forehead once more and leaves.

With my father gone for however long, I decided to invite my mother and sister out for dinner. My father is right in saying that I need to do something with my life because I have been withering away in my room.
I'm embarrassed that people know of my drug abuse and overdose but that's part of my journey. I can't hide forever because I will never be happy so we are going to Nobu, a very popular spot for the rich and famous.
"If you want to turn back then we can." My mom chews on the inside of her cheek as she looks at me.
The view from the car is very clear and the place is crawling with paparazzi which must mean that there are some famous faces already inside.
