For the past 6 months I have been off social media and rarely seen by the general public. I made the decision to disappear after I paid $40 million to buy myself out of my contract with my record label. I knew that I wanted to work on my second album without the disruption of the label and I knew that I wanted to have full control and ownership over my work.
In the past 6 months, my fans have stayed loyal to me and 4 hours ago I dropped my album. It is already number 1 in 54 countries which is amazing considering that I did not promote it. My self titled album consists of 14 original songs and 10 music videos.
I left the world of social media to focus on my album since I wasn't getting anything done since my label had full control over my work. I first flew to Hawaii before spending a month in the Carribeans then the Maldives. Once I hit the 4 month mark, I had someone choose a random island destination for me where I finished off the remainder of my album.

I'm Kylie Kia Fenty-Jameel. I am the only child of Robyn Rihanna Fenty and Hassan Jameel. Although I am their only child together, they each have other children from their current relationships.
My parents split up when I was 3 years old and my father was the first to remarry when after I turned 5. From my fathers current marriage I have two siblings who I do not have any contact with.
My mother is no longer in a relationship but from her previous relationship, my younger sister Zendaya was born and I am glad to be her older sister.
I started my career as a child actress before entering the world of music at the age of 17 where I had my first number one hit. From then on I really began to explore my mind, my body and my sexuality and my father did not agree with my choices. We stopped speaking after my image became racier but what did he expect from the child of Rihanna, the woman who taught me to be independent and to fight for my place.
The world better stay ready for K Y L I E.

"How do you feel to be back in the US?" My mother asks as we walk hand in hand.
"I miss living on the islands." I blankly respond. "It was just a different lifestyle and now I'm here again, in the limelight."
"You just have to remember to stay grounded and now that you are free of your record label, you can be yourself."
Tonight is my first performance in eight months and I am not really prepared for it but I am glad to be back on stage. When I write write, record and perform, it is all about the music. It's not about the fame although it is a plus but it's not about the money as such, I create music because of my love for it.
