Greis and Rum (COMPLETED)

22- Just like in the movies

Rumzuell and I, again, had plans for dinner. I felt like I gained weight these weeks so that means I'll have to go the gym. He said he'll pick me up at the mall because I've been shopping for him but I didn't tell him that I got a present since Christmas is 2 days away from us. This will be the first time that I'll be spending Christmas with someone and not with papers, a pen, my laptop and the rest of the night with Bix left to celebrate—it's an entirely new set up of my Christmas and I find it so interesting how he compromised everything to be in my life. Just no matter how hard it was to get through in the beginning, he was patient enough to wait and stand by me.

He texted and said he's changing his clothes pa and baka matagalan. I frowned in irritation, ayoko ng nalelate but hindi ko magawang magalit ng todo-todo sa kaniya. Ugh, he's that gwapo talaga! With an eye roll and a little smile.

"Engr. Cat!"

Nilingon ko ang nagsasalita at nakitang yun pala yung Jared na boyfriend ni Santana. I don't like the vibe he's giving me also by the way that he stares and thinks—ano ba itong nahanap ng pinsan ko. Hindi naman sila bagay ni Santana, tong si Jared kasi parang pariwara at umaasa parin sa magulang niya. He looked at me from head to toe then had a really bright smile on his face, "You look gorgeous." he complimented as if hindi ko alam.

"What do you need, Jared?"

"Woah, chill. Rumzuell sent me to get you. Diba may date kayo? He knows how much you don't want to wait." He said. Hindi ko naman alam na kinuntsaba pala to ng boyfriend ko eh, how sweet. Sumunod na lang din ako sa kaniya at bitbit naman niya ang mga pinamili ko. His car smelled alright but still isn't that much of an attraction to my nose. The environment was stiff and stuffy because of the silence. Naiilang ako sa tingin niya na para bang hindi siya makapaniwala na nandito ako sa loob ng kotse niya.

I need to break the ice.

"How're you and my cousin doing?" I asked to get rid of his stares, "Our wedding got cancelled, she cancelled it since you sent her home and we haven't talked again." He answered.

"She needed the break. San kayo nagkakilala? Bakit siya nagcall off ng wedding?"

"Basta, ewan ko sa kaniya. We met at the reunion na apparently ay tinakbuhan mo tapos nagkita kami ulit sa isang party three-four months ago." He chuckled. Hindi ko naman siya napansin doon, haha, wala pala talaga akong kakilala sa batch namin. Then there was silence once again between the two of us in his car. A few moments passed by and my phone lit up with a message notification from Rum. Nagtaka naman ako sa tanong niya.

I sighed and looked at Jared as he was driving me to God knows where on Earth. He caught a glimpse of my cellphone.

"You weren't asked to pick me up. Jared, what do you want? Deretsahan na tayo at may date pa ako." I was so annoyed with this damn cliché scene happening to me and was so gullible to fall for it. Who would've thought that someone was stupid enough to bring this to reality. Nagkamot pa siya ng ulo bago huminga ng malalim at iparada ang sasakyan. His eyes were already begging for I don't know what when he looked "With who? That Captain? I just want to have you, Cat. I can pay for your living or buy you. My parents gave me—"
